Learning curve please help! [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-25-06, 01:42 PM Hello all! I'm trying to start running a forgotten realms campaign but i need to teach people who dont have the right resources to buy the books at all so i need suggestions for teching them about the land of Toril.Please help!

07-25-06, 02:30 PM Just tell them about the area where they grew up and introduce information as it becomes relevant - assuming their characters would know. Actually, having them not know every detail about FR is probably a bonus more than anything.

07-25-06, 02:47 PM do you, as a person, know the location of every city within a thousand miles or so?.. i doubt it. they shouldnt either. tell them about the landscape and large cities, thier relevant location, and let them find the rest on thier own.
