This is my world created from my own imagination. Sure inspired from some of the great camaign settings already in publication, yet still uniquely my own. This will be my first post to this thread to share with you my creation. I am fully open to any feedback and willing to go into more detail about anything that may confuse anyone. I definately have some twists that will open up some fairy deep discussions.

Keep your eyes open for the Wizard's Bard is about to tell his tale and play his tune.

AEROYA
Where to begin when your rough draft is typed as you go. Don't get me wrong I have tons of information written down and have ran several Campaigns, twenty or so in this world. Yet I am not an author nor claim to be any kind of writer. I do claim to be a very good DM or GM if you prefer. Also I believe I have a great imagination.

I'll start with the rough outset of my rules. Spells, Feats, Classes Etc. from almost any source can usually be used in my campaigns. BUT this is strictly a fantasy campaign, thus no modern material, guns, lasers, proton packs, batteries, cars, Jedi, Luke Skywalkers, Etc. This is a Fantasy Campaign setting. Dugeon crawl, wizards spells, kings daughters, dragon slaying, "If" you can campaigns.

Also note my only other major rule is have fun, after that it is only guidelines with some soft and some hard bounderies but still only guidelines. Where everything is left up to the DM or GM which ever you prefers discretion.

I will attemt to focus on areas of importance in the setting first then continue on to other areas of interest. In this process I will be trying to somewhat keep things organized. For example when I get to Magic I will try to touch all the areas revolving magic, before I go on to another subject.

>> Next thread will start the creation of Aeroya I will start with some of the History and storylines. This will allow me some time to rough out an outline.

"Sophia"

In the middle of an overgrown swamp evil lurks. So dark and forbidding the pressence can be felt miles away. This swamp called The Devil's Trap (mistakingly though no devil's here, much, much, worse). Great heroes avoid this wetland greater yet have entered to never return.

Near the center of The Devil's Trap lies a small settlement of humanoids, living dead, and greater foes. This is located on a small cleared out island named after the settlement. The Dying Black Isle home of the Academy of Ailing Arts. Assassins, Blackguards, Death Clerics, and other wicked train here. If that is not enough you have people who risk all in summoning demons.

Sophia was an orphaned young girl who had aspired to become a Paladin. when she told others her plan, she was only mocked and belittled. This only increased her determination, yet as she grew things did not change. Sophia became angered her passion turned to hatred. She took her sister Celia and they fled the orphanage to live among those on the streets. In time her hatred grew, til she met Raz, who had been scouting for new members of the academy. Raz assisted Sophia and Celia in getting into the evil college. In their first semester they met Blugar, a massive half-orc, half-dragon. Blyugar fell for Sophia emediately due to her strength and lack of fear. They quickly made a pack to always stick together through their trials. Sophia, Celia, Raz, and Blugar. Sophia trained in magic revolving around those of the dead. Celia study in the temple of The Ailing One. Raz already a pick pocket, focused his his toward being a silent cutthroat. Finally Blugar simple is an untamed warrior. (So we have a necromancer, evil cleric, assassin, and a barbarian).

How could it get worse? Well they contiued their studies, were sent out upon the land to find things, cause havok, and grow in their abilities. As they became more skilled they gained respect and influance among the academy. In time they held four of the top five possitions within their wicked community. For Sophia she was still not satisfied. The top was held by a lich but not for long. As always they worked together this time to destoy a lich and its philactory. Once accomplished Sophia tooks its possition as a lich too. She made one major change she marked her philactory to summon a maralith once it suffers any damage to defend her undeath.

Now for Sophia's revenge. "Time for those pious paladins to be mocked and belittled."

Blugar and Raz sent out patrols to capture paladins. Those captured were tortured, turned to stone, and displayed in her royal chambers. Those that for some reason or another that she could not turn to stone, she has tortured and sacrificed to her goddess Scorge "The Ailing One" Then she would rise them as living dead.

This still goes on.....

A Little More On Scorge
And My Pantheon
Just a Glimpse More to Come Later

1) Simply Aeroya centers around nine basic dieties, But is far from being and nine god world the pantheon is massive. Regions vary in worship. Some places only serve one or two gods, some serve several. Their are false gods that are worshiped. Endless possibilities.

2) The pantheon complete has approximately 175 dieties maybe a little more plus a few dozen false gods.

3) I will focus on just one for right now

Scorge

Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Portpholio: Death, Disease, & Animation
Plane of Existance: Gray Waste
Diety Type: Greater Goddess (Inner Nine)
Superior: None
Allies: Baini, Neorne
Foes: Amiab, Crail (her brother)
Description: Scorge is commonly know as "The Ailing One", But is also know by several other evilly inclined names such as; "Queen of the Dead", Mother of Hatred", "Utterer of Pain", and several others. Those who know of her either fear her, worship her, or both. She rules the night and is believe to have created several of the undead.
Manefestations: She manefests herself as either a lich or a vampire.
Typical Whorshipers:Intelligent Undead, Assassins, Blackguards, Fiends, Necromancers, and Death Clerics.
Temples: These are usually found in deeply wooded areas, Some guilds and small sects can be found in larger communities. These are never common and cery secretive. They always have protective symbols throughout (usually agaist law or good). The areas of worship are surrounded by bloodied skulls on a field of black.
Domains: Chaos, Death, Evil, Magic
Dogma: Death is power, kill those who cherish life and take what you want. Disease the land and enjoy the evilness. Inspire to become imortal, death breathes new life.
Holy Days: Each New Moon, And during the moon of the soltice. This is the time when worshippers gather for the bloodfest a time of self sacrifice. They sacrifice their own blood and only eat raw meat for this moth or soltice. Mary followers die during this ritual they are later risen as undead thus a reason for so many throughout the land.

More to come........

Let me start this section with a question first. Being a little unfamiliar with the forum format could someone please tell how to go about uploading maps?

This is how I plan to detail Aeroya I am going to start with a smaller area, with occasional referance to the whole of the campaign. Trying to fill in the gaps as I go. I will also points out the basics to each of these smaller settings and how they fit into the complete sceeme of things.

Osin City
Part 1

Osin City is known as an adventurers city, here there are many guilds, temples, secret organizations, jobs, etc. anything an adventuring sort may need. What it is most well known for is its tournaments sall the Osin-Tae. Somewhat like the Olympics but more violent and graver consequences. On top of that you throw in magic (and its like the 4th of July meets Ultimate Fighting with weapons that take lives).

Osin City is an Independent City (Non-Standard), (Metropolis), ruled by a twelve member counsel. Well actually ruled by those with the deepest coin purses.

Population: 162,744 Integrated
41% Human
18% Elven
12% Half-Elven
10% Dwarven
7% Halfling
5% Gnome
4% Half-Orc
2% Other
Osin City formerly was part of the Raylin Kingdom extracted itself. This is a completly walled port city. Found on the outside near the south gate of the city in a small town controlled by the Raylin Kingdom, aptly called South Gate. More on that later.
