| GAMBLE_d1304-18-07, 09:14 AM | Hey there, just looking for inspiration for a goodronze/Iron Age campaign, that emphasises Heroic Action. A Nice blend of 800 AD Norse with the Acient Greeks/Roman Empire would be cool, maybe through in some Egyptian and Arab flavour for outlying Empires that surround the "world"? Anyways, any and all help will be greatly appreciated... Cheers ;)! |
| Lost_Heretic04-18-07, 10:58 PM | Uhm... Conan? C'mon, you're killing me here! |
| GAMBLE_d1304-19-07, 04:21 AM | Sorry, I meant campaigns that were made by Board Members... On the subject of Conan though, is it really that good? I mean I find the whole PrePrehistoric Earth setting rather unimaginative, and some of the names of various places sound like something you'd expect a preschooler to come up ? Maybe its just me? I have heard that the Conan rules set is rather good tho, any thoughts on that? Cheers. |

If not you should try and find some stuff and take a look. On that world (which is hollow) there is: The Thyatian Empire which is based on the Roman Empire, The Grand Duchy of Karameikos (Formerly Traldara) which is based on medieval Germany/Russia. 3 Viking type kingdoms (Soderfjord, Ostland & Vestland). The Ethengar Khanates based on Ghengis Khan type Mongols, The Artruaghin Tribes based on Native Americans, In the Hollow World part of Mystara are: The Nithian Empire which is based on the Egyptians, The Azcans, (you guessed it) based on the Aztecs, The Millenian Empire is based on the Ancient Greeks. There are many more and the world has a rich history. Much of it is ripped off from the real world but it works for me. The Blackmoor Elves is basically Atlantis. I love Mystara and have been gaming and playing campaigns based there for over 15 years. |
