I am currently heading up production of a game and need a dedicated designer for the game world. As this position is essentially the same as that of a DM building a campaign setting, I figure I would find a better person here than on gamedev.net (besides, might make a good campaign setting). I need maps, location lists, and general as well as specific details about everything pertaining to the setting. Creativity is a must.

The game world is a long-dead planet whose people were extinguished by terrible disease. However, what they lacked in physical immunity, they more than made up for in technology and science. Their legacy remains in the form of robotic civilizations, still fighting for dominance over 1000 years after their death. The planet now has deep red seas and the land is mostly gray, devoid of organic life. The landscape is littered with remains of once great cities, now empty and lifeless. The robots live in separate nations, unable to establish peace between each other.

The player takes control of a space-mercenary-type character that has been guided to the planet by its Guardian, an immortal soul assigned to protect a planet. As she failed to protect her assigned planet, she is scheduled for termination upon the transfer of Guardianship to her replacement. The new Guardian has plans of her own for the planet, but there are also unique views of the robotic tribes and possibly external forces. The player is thrust in the middle, having to choose allegiances and ultimately forge the destiny of the planet.

Yeah, our host deleted our database, breaking the site. I can email/IM most of the info if you're interested. Check my contact info at the gamedev.net post.
