Ok, so I have recently started making a new capaign. This is my first "real" one so I don't expect it to be near perfect. It is about two organizations/clans. One is a group of power-hungy vampires and their leader. Another one is a clan of about 200 people bent on destroying the material plane and creating a new one with the help of their god.

The leader of the vampires has turned one of the PC's (will become a DMPC) into a vampire himself. Though, the PC's cannot see his vampire form because of a spell that was cast on him. All of the PC's will have normal "fillers" until they reach level 6-8.

Then, the Ravenloft adventure should kick in. Then, the PC who is a vampire, will run away from the party seeking trainning from the other clan. The vampire clan will be centered around this adventure. Once the king of the clan is [supposedley] defeated, there will be a cut-scene with that PC issuing the final blow then running off.

After Ravenloft, the PC's will realize of the other clan's doings (world domination and other stuff), they will be sent on a quest to gather the ancient "weapons" to defeat this clan's god. At about level 19-20, the PC's will be sent to the clan's "secret weapon base" to destroy it. Once they have defeated the clan's boss, the god will posses the DMPC and turn him into the final boss of the campaign.

In the end, the material plane will be destroyed. Even so, the PC's will have escaped to another dimension/universe onto another material plane. Then there will just be random adventures (unless I choose to end the campaign).

Thoughts?

first of all, I can't argue 'cus I'm also trying to do a campaign...(or was depends on if I can find my sheets again)!

Second of all, it really looks interesting, and I would love to participate in giving it it's maiden voyage (as long as it's on internet...).
I can already imagine the various scenes from your descriptions and it promises to be awesome!

good luck with everything!

Sadly its not on the internet. But I will give you and [others] the full advenure with the PC's from level 1-20. Some dungeons are pre-made. These are not part of the storyline and will have "Fillers" as their subtitle.

What is the purpose of the campaign? Is it just entertainment only? Is it to teach the characters (or even their players) something? Ultimately any feedback to be given will depend on what you are trying to accomplish with the game as the DM. :cookie:

Mainly for entertainment. But it is DnD right? ;)

In this instance then I'd suggest if you are going for big entertainment take it as an action movie: no looking back, big explosions, lots of fights into a crescendo of world-shaking proportions. Keep the plot simple, feeding the PCs just enough to have them come to the conclusions of where to go next on their own. Tone down side quests and subplots and really push everything you have into one final battle/point to be made. Did I say lots of explosions too? :cookie:

My PC's like more story than adventure though. That means very few explosions. Sorry bout' that. Anyhoo, my PC's like the main adventure but it will only couple about 8-10 levels out of 20. So, if I randomly put a town on the way to their next destination, and give it a crisis, they will think the adventure is a must.
