I was just going to say 10% of the cost per year but is there anything else out there published on building and maintaining strongholds? |

Keepcost +10% upkeep to rebuild? How about the pulling down of the ruined keep and the relocation of a village to within the walls. How about rival baron arrests all stone masons entering the kingdom to repair the keep. No amount of money will get you silk sheets unless you send your army to secure the traderoutes through the holy land... Your castle should have a new category: Wealth: Lavish, DC20------Spartan, DC01. And everytime you let it slip in category you need to do more than spend recovery wealth. You need to plunder a rival castle, sieze control of a Port city-state, or Invade a region and secure a traderoute. Its all well and great that Leonardo Davinci has replaced the Murder holes above the main gates with Steam pipes to cook people between the inner and outergate or the Steam Cooker to dispose of the Jewish Money lenders...but where is your Sauna and Steam baths?
