Nightsong, also known as the city of darkness, and the streets of shadow, is an old and once grand city, cursed by the gods. During [Insert god war name here], the then-called city of Rumyrin aligned itself with the side that would eventually lose, incurring the wrath of the victors, who cursed the city with eternal darkness by floating a gargantuan cloud over it and the surrounding lands. After many attempts to appeal to the gods, the highborn of the city finally gave up and moved out. Since then Nightsong has become a haven for criminals and derelicts, most of the city is in ruins, and the vast majority of the estimated population of 5000 are homeless and hopeless. However, the eternal night is thought beautiful to many nobles, and Nightsong enjoys some popularity as a vacation spot. This has led to the separation of Upper Nightsong and Lower Nightsong. Upper Nightsong is situated on a mesa in the northern area of the city, it takes up about 20% of the city, and is walled off from the rest, with gaurds on the walls at all hours to keep the inhabitants of Lower Nightsong from entering. Much of Upper Nightsong is lit by magical lights, and gardens of exotic plants can be found everywhere. The main attraction is the zoo in the middle, where all sorts of creatures are kept. Lower Nightsong is a maze of ruins and filth, where people are sometimes forced to eat others to stay alive. Several powerful criminal organizations have bases here, as there is no law enforcement. |

It does infact make for a good setting. i would have 2 main gangs and Three levels. the bottom full of outcast and lycanthrope. have the third level worship Pelor for some real fricton. have an office in the 2nd level for mercs. that is if you are following KOTOR or you could play the game to give you a very general idea. it is a starwars game that works like D&d. if your to lazy to do that go look it up on the internet. But these are all just suggegstions I Think its a great City players could stop there to pick up supplies and restock. |
