Classes:

Astralist: Psionic, magician hybrid, casts spells from all spell lists,*except paladins, rangers, etcetera*including artificer.

Lycanthrope: A class rather than a race. Druid's shape change ability at will. has paladin like aura of courage ability, 14 HD per level(rather than 12), and ranger tracking. Limited Druid spells, (up to level 6, perhaps)

Rouge: Same as Player HB

Shaman: Druid/Adept gestalt(as a core class).

BattleMage: Fighter/Sorcerer hybrid, with all offensive spells(except ones like holy word, consecration/blaspheme spells)6 HD per level?

Noble: Bard/Aristocrat hybrid.

Gadgeteer: (inspired by Wizardry 8)Artifice/Expert(alchemist) hybrid, specializes in long range combat

Valkyry: (More inspired by Gauntlet than Wizardry VIII.) Armor class increases by 1 point every two levels, has paladin spells(and up to 5th level cleric spells), has one fighter feet every four levels in addition to other feets. (8 HD, or 6 with an added twist)

Mage: Cleric/Wizard/Sorcerer/Druid class all wrapped up in one. Learns weak and moderately strong spells at higher levels as abilities usable at will. As a wizard(Core Book) the Mage gains 10% more experience from scribe scroll, and 1% of his experience needed to level per day.

Paladin: (As PHB, with exceptions)They are both warriors, and have the ability to call down cleric spells, both consecration type and damage types on their enemies.(In effect, most evocation spells),

Priest: Similar to the Cleric, except, they have druid spells(up to 6th level, perhaps?).

Wise Man: Druid/Sorcerer gestalt.

Monk: (The Germanic kind, sort of), Cleric/Bard gestalt.

Psionic: (Psionic, wizard spells up to 7th level)

Samurai: (Aristocrat/Samurai gestalt, up to 5th level cleric spells)

Alchemist: (Artificer/Wizard gestalt)

Elder: (Aristocrat/Adept(only with up 7th level spells) gestalt class, effectively a Loremaster beginning at 1st level.

Sage:Wizard/Evoker class.(Despite being a wizard, he is effectively an evoker as well.

Bishop: Cleric/Aristocrat gestalt.

looks really interesting. The classes feel like they have character. There seems to be a lot of them though, and a lot of overlap. If that is intentional than you might want to eliminate multiclassing. Otherwise I would cut the number in half. I think that the next step is to actually work out a progression for each class and get all of the details down.

Yeah. Overlap is intentional.

So I'm thinking that maybe, I am bad at doing class progressions.

It looks cool; just keep balance in mind. Some classes could easily become overpowered. Are you using prestige classes? Doing so might be overkill. I agree with Glak that multiclassing should be limited.

When you say "14 HD" per level for lycanthrope, do you mean d14? That's way overpowered, especially combined with spells and ranger abilities. A good way to keep character classes reasonable is to take a standard one and for each ability you add or power up, subtract or power down one of approxiamately equal strength.

If astralists can cast all sorts of spells, both healing (cleric) and massive damage (wizard), they need to have much fewer spells per level and likely no access to the highest level spells.

Then again, if all are designed to be gestalt classes, you can be more generous. Still, try to compare classes to traditional gestalts (is this more powerful than a fighter/wizard or ranger/druid?). This may also require adjustment of rewards (xp and treasure) unless you want a superfast leveling campaign...

Well. I was considering prestige classes only being avaiable for epic characters.

I think that's a good idea. :)

Really I want a world where even low level PC characters are seen as awesome. A 1st level astralist in a room full of 5th level adepts should astound them, even if he happens to be less powerful or just equal.
