I was not sure where to post this, I figured this would be the best place to start, is anyone aware of a good template to apply to monsters / animals to make construct versions?

My problem is that I am planning a few adventures that will take place in a heavily Egyptian themed area and have the need of animate stone Crocodiles (crocodyles....? not sure of the spelling), I wanted them to be on par with the Stone Golem from the MM but the one in the book has two slam attacks (being a humanoid statue), any direction / advice?

I looked over the animate objects but it didnt seem to be adequate to my needs.

(Please forgive spelling errors, not myself today, stupid dopplegangers...)

Bah, sorry I should be a little more specific:

The stone golem has two slam attacks (which of course make sense in the context) but not really fitting for a stone crocodile, I was thinking somthing along the lines of a bite attack and possibly a tail slap (sorry, big crocodile here, not a regular sized one).

Well, there is the Sand Creature template in Sandstorm that turns anything into a desert-type construct. Could always try that.

In Lords of Madness i belive there is an Elder Eidolon (sp?) Template, its pretty much what your looking for.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check out Sandstorm and Lords of Madness, if anything else occurs to you, or anyone else has ideas, please post.

Dust-Stuffed is a template from Explorer´s Handbook. It is of the Living Construct subtype though, so I don´t know if that´s what you´re looking for (but you could call them Sand-Stuffed and make them specialized guardians).
