Custom Campaign Questions [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-12-07, 06:42 PM the main nemisis in my campaign is a lawful good nazi-like government. they have five secret agents that are modeled after the operative in serenity. i want them to be ascetic(vow of poverty from book of exalted deeds) because the best operatives are the ones that need nothing to survive. i already have a warlock and soulknife(the only psionic class i am allowig in my campaign). i dont want to use monk because its too cliche. i would appreciate any suggestions for the other three. also they all are human males with same looks and same name: omega(the end).

11-12-07, 09:05 PM Clerics and wizards who use Charm spells?Hypnosis and Suggestion as well,ignoring individual rights to privacy and self-will are quite Nazi-like.

11-12-07, 10:19 PM sweet idea. its completely appropriate for my campaign and i had not thought about that aspect. wizards dont work well w/ vow of poverty

There aren't too many classes that truely need nothing. Even spellcasters with eschew materials need focuses or higher-grade magic equipment. Other psionic classes might work. Monk is an obvious. Fighters who specialize in unarmed combat could work. Same goes with barbarian. Bards could be done so long as they have perform (dance) or something. I'd advise staying away from spell-casters as they are the most problematic.

Now, how are they Nazi-like? LG doesn't typically strike me as Nazi-like when its really LG. If its really Nazi-like and its "LG" its usually more LE or NE, I find.
