| TheFrohmen08-19-07, 12:04 PM | I've been working on this for a while now, and i need some help with creating aspects of it ('cause i plan on PDFing it). Anyone who has played ES (any of them will do), could you help? Just post saying. Thanks :king: |
| Rominova08-19-07, 01:00 PM | I ran a Elder Scrolls Oblivion theamed campaign once, was a lot of fun. Lasted from level 1 to level 13, so I might be able to help. |
| Andreas795308-19-07, 03:37 PM | i play Eldar scrolls all the time, i know almost everything about it, ask me anything. my character is even lvl 100. although i have it for 360 so i havent played the expansions |
| Zousha_Omenohu08-20-07, 02:12 AM | I have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of both Morrowind and Oblivion, though I haven't played either in a while, so some of it may be a bit rusty. Also, there's a very handy site to go to for Elder Scrolls information. Here's the link: http://til.gamingsource.net/ |
| vegetalss408-20-07, 02:24 AM | i would like to help to. what do you need done? |
| TheFrohmen08-20-07, 12:16 PM | Right, I plan on doing different chapters of the game. Nothing fancy, but just basic weapons, advance classes (which will be pretty damn easy), different factions, and some racial traits for creatures. Here is the first paragraph/ chapter (Warning Beta only) Emperor’s War An Alternate Elder Scrolls Universe A D&D/ d20 Setting By The Frohmen Story (Setting): The year is 3E 433. The Emperor’s sons have been assassinated by the Mythic Dawn cult. As the Emperor is notified of his sons’ attacks three Blades, his personal guards are leading him to a cell with a secret passage. The cell was supposed to be empty, but there is a lone prisoner. While the Blades think it is a misunderstanding by guards, the Emperor believes this is a hero who will save the world. The prisoner follows the Emperor and they are ambushed twice by Mythic Dawn assassins. One blade is killed during the first attack and the group is separated with the Emperor in one group and the prisoner in another, though they eventually met up. Before the second attack the Emperor makes it clear to the player that he realizes he will not be escaping alive, and thus asks the player for help in protecting Tamriel. However as a Mythic dawn assassin raises his blade to kill the Emperor from behind, the prisoner leaps out and defends the emperor by driving a blade through the cultist’s chest. However the assassin’s blade catches the side of the prisoner’s head. Both figures fall. The two remaining Blades rush in and see the attack. One checks the prisoner, and declares he is not dead; however, he will be soon if they don’t get medical attention. Due to the heroic action, the blades decide to try and save the prisoner. While one leads the way out, another carries the prisoner. Eventually, they make it to Weynon Priory, a Blade sanctuary to rest before moving on to Cloud Ruler Temple. They also take Martin, a priest and the Emperor’s secret illegitimate son. They decide that it is too risky for the prisoner to be transported, so they leave him at the Priory to heal (and leave him two Blades as guards). While he won’t die, he is in a coma from the attack, thanks to the fact that the blade hit his with the side. This makes the risk of transporting him difficult due to the fact he is an easy target. After arriving at the Temple without incident, the Emperor begins sending out messenger (well guarded) to the various civilizations, guilds, and forces that inhabit the world to try and raise a sort of "crusade" against the damned daedric forces of Mehrunes Dagon. He even sends (secretly) messengers to the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild and, against the will of the Church of Nine Divines, the worshipers of several Daedric entities. The meeting begins at the Temple with representatives from almost everywhere including Morrowind, Daggerfall, Dark Brotherhood, Fighters guild, and worshipers (and even several) of Daedric gods (cause, hey, fight fire with fire), including Azure (in person), Hircine (a surprise to all because he wasn’t invited, he said “I go where the hunt is.”), and Sheogorath (he came only when he heard there was cheese). After much debate, three of the Daedric gods (all who attended in person) gave support. The Dark Brotherhood also gave assassins for large amounts of gold, though it was well worth it. Fighters and Mages guild began a war against the Mythic Dawn after Hannibal Traven is impeached, and Necromancy is reinstated, though the hunt continues for Mannimarco, who is declared rouge and many ex-members return (though not all hint, hint.). Nerevarine, now ruler of Morrowind, is forced to guard his own home after several gates appear in Morrrowind. The Emperor then sends out a decree stating that all Mythic Dawn followers shall be rooted out and killed on sight. Sorry 'bout the format, don't know how the hell to do the "show block" thing with it.Questions, Comments? Edit: Sorry 'bout that, got a little caught up. Made several edits to story. |
| Rominova08-20-07, 07:33 PM | Intresting alternate story stuff, although very odd. What exactly did the three Daedric gods give support to again? You can find the Pantheons of Tamriel here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheons_of_Tamriel), and the information for Daedric Princes here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daedric_Princes). You can work out the general alignment and aim for the various cults from there, witch played a very big part in the mid to later levels of my campain. The early to mid levels being mostly quest from common-folk and the various guilds. What area did you want help in, mostly I mean. Story stuff and fluff, or crunch stuff like stats for new races, creatures and major NPCs? |
| TheFrohmen08-20-07, 11:28 PM | Intresting alternate story stuff, although very odd. What exactly did the three Daedric gods give support to again? I made edits but in a short version, to run kinda of a "crusade" against Dagon. You can find the Pantheons of Tamriel here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheons_of_Tamriel), and the information for Daedric Princes here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daedric_Princes). Thanks, but i find the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages better for both gods and Princes (and almost anything else ES related) You can work out the general alignment and aim for the various cults from there, witch played a very big part in the mid to later levels of my campain. The early to mid levels being mostly quest from common-folk and the various guilds. It's actually pretty easy for alignments, cause you just have to use the basics from D&D. What area did you want help in, mostly I mean. Story stuff and fluff, or crunch stuff like stats for new races, creatures and major NPCs? Well, here are the areas I could use help in: Weapon statistics for glass, ebony, dwarven, and Aeylid (possibly Elven, but that most likely can be covered.:fight!: Advance Classes, but that can be most likely be ripped from the games. Some of the races (no new stuff, just older things) I pretty much got the racial stuff, but I need help with some of the special perks/spells for the races. Any like hell i need help with the weapons. Can anyone help? If you want, just post it. Thanks :) |
| nimblewright9308-27-07, 05:08 PM | Hey i play morrowind and my freind is an expert on dedra The nords get an ice attack automatically |
| TheFrohmen08-29-07, 10:34 PM | wouldn't they get resistance to it??? 'Cause that's what it says on the race data... |
| Cryodancer08-30-07, 01:22 PM | I played morrowind until the disc wore out.. play oblivion alot.. anyways a couple things i know. 1: Dark elves get bonuses to dexterity and wisdom but minuses to constitution and charisma 2: Khajit get bonuses to dexterity and charisma but minuses to intelligence and constitution . they also have darkvision 3: Argonians can breathe water and have bonuses to constitution and minuses to charisma ( yes thats how it worked out in the tescs dont ask me why) 4: Nords and Orcs both get bonuses to str and con as well as minuses to charisma 5: Nords get an electric attack and frost resistance, Orcs can rage naturally and resist magic 75% of the time 6:Imperials get bonuses to charisma and have baseline average stats. They can also use charm person 1/day 7: Woodelves get bonuses to dex and speed (maybe base 40ft speed?) and minuses to str and con they can speak with animals (all animals actually) Also aparently woodelf males are so short that they are aproximatly .5 inches from being unable to get up stairs.. Hope it helps also heh keep in mind some of my stats may be wrong my tescs isnt game of the year so all the fixes from tribunal and bloodmoon arent in it Also i think the only real differance ( d&d rules wise) between the different weapon types would be hardness and everything past silver counts as a magic weapon for hitting ghosts and such. |
| TheFrohmen08-30-07, 03:57 PM | I played morrowind until the disc wore out.. play oblivion alot.. anyways a couple things i know. 1: Dark elves get bonuses to dexterity and wisdom but minuses to constitution and charisma Why a minus on charisma? Also get summon Ghost (Ancestral Ghost) 1 per day although in the game, I belive you can summon it usually if you have enough magic... I'll check later. 2: Khajit get bonuses to dexterity and charisma but minuses to intelligence and constitution . they also have darkvision I agree. Also get Demoralize opponents 90ft. 3: Argonians can breathe water and have bonuses to constitution and minuses to charisma ( yes thats how it worked out in the tescs dont ask me why) Again good Opinion 4: Nords and Orcs both get bonuses to str and con as well as minuses to charisma Also i belive they would get a -1 to intel cause they usually ain't bright. 5: Nords get an electric attack and frost resistance, Orcs can rage naturally and resist magic 75% of the time Yes to the orc, but why a elec attack for Nord? 6:Imperials get bonuses to charisma and have baseline average stats. They can also use charm person 1/day Good, but to balance, what should be a minus? 7: Woodelves get bonuses to dex and speed (maybe base 40ft speed?) and minuses to str and con they can speak with animals (all animals actually) Also apparently woodelf males are so short that they are aproximatly .5 inches from being unable to get up stairs.. Yeah, can't find fault in that. It's helpful, thanks and yeah silver would hit ghosts. Oh yeah, and I'm almost finished with vamp stats for charactres, although only for Oblivion ones. I'll post soon. BTW you forgot High Elfs, Breton, and Redguards, but I got that covered. i also post the Bonuses for Races too (you forgot a few) Altmer(God knows what they are): +2 to Intel and Wis, -2 Strgth. Weakness to Fire, Frost Shock 25%. Resist Disease 75% Nord(Pure Aryan): +2 to Strgth and Con, -2 Chrs, Shock Attack, 75% Frost Resist Wood Elf (Kenderish): +2 to Dex and Speed, -2 for Strght and Con, tongues ability (animals only), Base Speed 40ft Dunmer/Dark Elf (Fricken Wackos): +2 Dex and Wis, -2 Con and Chrs, Summon Ghost (ancestrial Guardian) once per day, Resist Fire 75%. Khajhit (Cat Dudes): +2 Chrs and Dex, -2 Intel and Con, Darkvision #? Ft., Demoralize opponent 90ft. 1 per day. Aragornian (Lizard Dudes): +2 Con, -2 Chrs, Water Breath (constant), Resist Disease 75% and Poison 100%. Redguard (Every Badass Black person ever in action movies in one) +2 to Strgth, +4 to Con, -2 to intel, chrs, and wis, Adrenaline rush: I need help on this., Resist Poison and Disease 75%. Imperial (Europeans, but worse): +2 to Chrs, Charm person 1 per day. Breton (Whimsy French Mages): +2 to Wis, +4 to Intel, -2 to Con, -4 to Strgth, Resist Magick 50%, Shield: Protect for ten minutes once per day. Orc (Don't mess the F*** with Me): +4 Strength, +2 Con, -2 Intel, -4 wis, Rage: once per day, 75% Resist magick. Questions, comments, cunning remarks? |
| Neutronium_Dragon08-30-07, 04:16 PM | Some elements of the plot don't really make sense in terms of established TES lore. If the emperor doesn't die, the Oblivion invasion doesn't happen because the Amulet of Kings/White Gold Tower continues to function, so there wouldn't be any daedric forces of Dagon wandering about Tamriel. The emperor *must* die in order for that to happen. (It's not the dragonfires either - though the characters make it sound that way in the game, digging deeper into the lore (including in-game books) shows that they're just a symbol. White-Gold Tower is what actually generates the barrier to keep them at bay, being one of several structures which serves this purpose, and the Amulet of Kings is essentially its focus.) I don't see why Traven would be impeached. His position on necromancy was deemed controversial, but by the time of TES4 it was about to become apparent that his stance was eminently correct given the activities of Maanimarco. (And despite being controversial on that one issue, he still had strong support from most of the guild.) There's really no reason for the other daedric princes to get involved, either - it's not their area of interest, and they're *extremely* unlikely to appear in person in any circumstance, nevermind for something as degrading (to them) as negotiating with a mortal (and one who is Akatosh-touched at that). The cults? They'd only really care about it to the extent that it affects their own activities, and it doesn't much. I like the general idea, but there seems to be a fair bit which is out of step with the established TES lore as the idea is currently written. It seems like you're trying to throw everyone and everything into the mix, whether or not it really makes sense for them to become involved. |

You are right though, I do have to rework most of the plot now that I look at it. I really didn't think too hard on this... Regardless, I will make a change to the thread. This will just be for normal TES conversions. I.E. you can post your own work of rules, regulations, stats, and just random pieces of info. I will still work on the Alternate ES universe :incog: but your right, I do need to edit the story a bit. But thanks for pointing that out.:) |
| Neutronium_Dragon08-31-07, 07:58 AM | If it helps, you might try consulting the Elder Scrolls lore forum over on Bethesda's site. The general forum index is: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php "Elder Scrolls Lore" is down near the bottom. There's a *huge* amount of stuff to wade through, but familiarizing yourself with it would be a big help in putting together an alternate plotline. |
| Zousha_Omenohu08-31-07, 09:07 AM | And don't forget the link I posted to The Imperial Library. That has every, and I mean every book that you could find in every game transcribed there! No better source of in-universe lore in my opinion. |
