So im new at making campaigns and I suck at making up names for places so if anyone could help me think of names for places that would be great. I need names for a viking type place, a oriental type place, and a stereotypical hobbiton type place. And also im trying to make this campaign focus around one major deity so if you have any advice for that it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Bi-polar deities?Have a good god of everything(GGE)and an evil god of everything(EGE)?The GGE requires that all preists take good as their first domain, the second domain chosen affects which religous order you belong to.EX.a priest of GGE picks good of course and then selects flame as his second domain, this grants him defacto membership in the Holy Order of the Sacred Fire?A priest of the EGE would pick evil and then fire to join the Order of the Purifying Flame?RANDOM THOUGHTS.

I like the idea of a viking type place, I am currently trying to make my own campaign, I am also a newbie, and sometimes have trouble coming up with names. I am planning on having viking based people in my campaign. If you need help coming up with names try looking on the internet for names, just google "viking names", or you could search for "the book of everchanging names", its one of the best name generators ever, plus you can download it for free, its only like 1MB. If you need help with anything else, visit my site at freewebs.com/redlockstudy/ and go the the "Areathean Portals" link, I have great collection of links there, the book of everchanging names is in one of them.

For names, use real-world languages and vocabularies.

Maps and translators and dictionaries can all be found online, with a little bit of googling.

So, for Viking-culture, look at Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish.

For Asian/Oriental-culture, look at Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.

For Hobbiton, use English, just base things on place names.

Do you plan for your lone deity to be worshiped under different names by different races, or is s/he the same to all of them?

well as it turns out i figured it all out by searching for names and such and have decided on the names:
Xiao-Zen City of the Lotus (oriental place)
Knurlheim (viking palce)
Bobbington (hobbit place)

As for the deity I've decided that the good clerics will worship The Creator and the evil ones will worship an evil demonic deity so the whole one deity thing didnt work out but it simplifies it so much more I think
