help with my homebrew world [Archive] - Wizards Community

HUNDREDS of people make homebrew campaigns, and no one gets rich off doing it, even from the very few who get them actually published. There's another thread in the "Campaign Workshop" on this exact topic.

Ignoring that (if I misinterpreted you, my most sincere apologies), I'd stick with the core three and use my creativity if I were you. If you ever hope to put some on a website or other forum for public use, you should stick with content from the System Reference Document, which is legally licensed for use by anyone (with some restrictions).

If you mean the former, do you mean anywhere in particular? there was a lot going on in various parts of europe at that point (the collapse of Byzantium, Hundred Years War in western europe, the Wars of the Roses in England, etc etc)
Then there's China and such (my asian history isn't so great).

In anycase, in such a setting, there are a few notable differences. One that might impact your players and you more than most is that gunpowder is starting to show up more and more. And cities start to have a very weird looking star-fishy look to their defences. =P

But anyway, I could probably help more if you elaborated a little on what you mean. As for the WotC interest thing, I have no idea.

05-23-07, 11:51 AM Make it really, really, really good, as detailed and interesting as Faerūn or Eberron. Should take about 4 to 6 years, maybe longer. Then ask them if they want to buy it, but it probably has to be even much better than existing settings, because they allready have three. If you are lucky, they might buy it in abotu 10 years and then you most likely have no more controll over it, what they do with it.
