Am I supposed to make an inventory of shop items for every store I stick in my game or am I to assume the players can buy most any basic equipment at these stores? And then, what about magical/special items? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. |

I'd say that common ones (potions, +1 weapons, scrolls of commonly used low-level spells, bags of holding, etc) should be for sale in any city with spellcasters in it, but rarer items need to be custom made. For example, if you want a cloak of invisibility or +2 dancing longsword, you will have to commision a workshop to make it specially for you. It would cost the same amount, but takes longer. |
