Ok thanks for letting me put in this long title Wizards.

Anyway, ToB has 9 schools where one can draw maneuvers and the like. I was thinking of adding a generic "school" so that everyone can partake of its goodness.

My plan was to include an extra stat, "chi", or living force. one starts off with 1 point in chi, and every level you gain chi points equivalent to the character level you have. e.g. at level 2 you gain 2 chi points for a total of 3, at level 3 you gain 3 chi points for a total of 6.

So basically you can use chi/round equivalent to character level. So a level 10 character can use 10 chi a round until he expends his chi. At the start of every round, every 5 points(rounded down) one's chi is from one's maximum level, one loses 1 hp (since chi is lifeforce). One can regain chi as a fullround action (total regained is equivalent to character level).

Basic Chi movements (Standard Actions) are
1. Celerity: Every Chi point you spend, increase your movement speed by 5' until beginning of next turn.
2. Fortitude: Every Chi point you spend, gain DR 1/- (stackable i guess) until beginning of next turn.

Yeah i know, they are from WoD, but they can't trademark words.

And one can find manuals to learn how to activate certain chi powers. Like one which allows one to fly for limited periods.

I know it just complicates stuff, but considering that there really is no fun in playing a non-ToB melee fighter in a ToB setting, it at least provides some sort of entertainment.

I would really like to know whether there are cracks in such a system? Has anyone actually tried to play a non-ToB melee fighter in a ToB setting?
