| Zen588710-03-07, 01:15 AM | Im DMing in a homebrew world but still using the PHB rules and I've decided to add a bit of live to the world. As well as the party doing there adventures im going to have them be incharge of one major nations (Human, Elf, Dwarf) and play king so stuff like deciding where to build new towns, trading resorces, war and such. However I am worried that doing this wont give me a lot of control over my players. I am almost certan one of them will go to war as soon as he can..pretty much without thinking about it.. Also im not 100% sure on how to go about this appart from give them little problems like 'you are running low on iron so you will need to find it elsewhere' so any ideas on this kind of thing would be sweet Thanks - Lachlan |

This way you have NPCs to counter-balance the PCs actions. You could always make them the heirs to the throne or give them high political positions other than ruler. That way they still have to answer to someone. |
