Map creation program ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-24-07, 06:18 AM Hi hi! I'm brand new to this forum but I was wondering if anyone knew about a program to create a overview map (such as of a bar or a house).
The thing I'm MOSTLY looking for and I doubt I will find is ofcourse a map editor which returns a map with the same graphic as this map : http://wizards.com/dnd/images/previews807_greendragoninn_map1.jpg

I know of a tool that allows for online play that allows you to import images and use them to create interactive maps. The program is free and called "Maptools". However, that isn't something you can save and print, which is what I think you are looking for?

There is a program, I forget how it is spelled, something along the lines of Dunjiini that I believe is used to do what you want. I have seen some gorgeous maps created with it.

The program is called Dundjinni and is very good an not very expensive. Try out the Demo to see if it runs (from past experience it can be a bit picky about which Java version it wants).
