Mapmaking help [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-19-08, 10:09 PM I need help making a map of the central continent for my campaign world.

I know there was an answer to this a bajillion years ago, but I can't go through a bajillion years' worth of forum posts to find it, so here it goes:

Does anyone know a way to make maps that look like the ones featured in Eberron? I fell in love with the artwork of those maps and I would like to capture that same sort of feel for my own homebrew campaigns....

Any help anyone can offer would be awesome....

02-19-08, 10:19 PM I can't really answer your question directly (the only way to make a map look like the Eberron maps is to copy the Eberron maps), but I would highly recommend you check out the Cartographers Guild (http://www.cartographersguild.com) - those guys specialize in map-making, and they're also happy to help you out and give tips.

02-20-08, 12:58 AM I just did a town map using tips and help from the cartographers guild. Needless to say I have a very good looking map in just a couple of hours of work! Some great tutorials there.
