nullsystems 05-13-07, 08:40 AM	Hello, Im new to being a DM and I have a problem with mapping... I would love to have a full map layout, similar to the ones you find in the " d&d adventure " game, which has card map tiles, lots of cool pictures and addons. Such as this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hasbro-Dungeons-and-Dragons/dp/B00028X3HC/ref=sr_1_3/203-0587246-0877545?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1179059898&sr=8-3 Im having a hard time finding anything, I saw the map in the back of the DM book and thats kind of what I want. I had alot on this site, it shows " maps " in the map section, but they are all tiny ! There is no way you could print them off to work. Also, they have alot of markers on that players shouldnt see. Does this mean they are for DMS only and players cannot use maps? Im a little lost as to how you are meant to play this with some good graphic content. Maybe I have gotten it all wrong :( If anyone give me some tips I would appreciate it !
tryco 05-13-07, 10:11 AM	well, first of: you could always explain the surroundings to the players without showing them the maps (or the very small maps). works with me. otherwise: there are some nice maps in the Fantastic Locations series. all with 5' squares and without notes for DM's only (i think, i don't use them :P) there are some other nice products like Dungeon Tiles. fourth product coming soon IIRC. you could also make your own maps. like Dundjinni (very good). you could also use Campaign Catographer, must also be very good. EDIT: dump the dnd board game, it sucks. you could better get the Basic Game from Wizards, much better.

I have the same trouble with maps; they're so important but take so long to make.
nullsystems 05-13-07, 07:27 PM	Thanks guys, ive considered most options now. Seems like highly detailed full size maps arent possible. Unless you have a projector or alot of color print lol. I'll keep searching :)
