Myr Long ago in Daloren there was the Time of Prosecution. Mages of all races sought out to destroy what they called the Damned Ones. The Damned Ones were nothing more than the offspring of mixed race births. Half-Orcs and Half-Elves across Daloren were sought after for prosecution. Many were killed but many fled Daloren and made their way to Myr, a desolate island off of the southern coast of Daloren. The first to make it to Myr, was Barok the Bold, a Half-Orc Warrior from Randor. He along with his family and several other half-race families fled to Myrin hopes of finding a new beginning. Barok vowed that he would help all half-races flee prosecution and to protect them. Over the years Barok along with many others have built Myr into a promising island. The Time of Prosecution is now over and the rulers through out Daloren have tried to make piece with Barok and his followers but to no avail. The half-races still remember what happenned during that time and the stories have been passed down through generation to fuel the hatred. The inhabitants of Myr live a pieceful coexsistence with each other. No man is treated differently nor is no woman treated differently. Half-Orcs and Half-Elves have intermingled creating a new offshoot referred to has the Caldiere. Many of the Caldiere have become leaders in their respective communities. |

I once had this idea in my campaigns, but it wasn't a global thing like yours, it was more like the KKK of my D&D campaign, where you wouldn't know who was part of it until it was too late. I believe they followed Hextor and called themselves the Black Gauntlets of Hextor, I'll have to look back at my papers |

Another thing I find very intriguing about this is the offspring that the Half-Orcs and the Half-Elves have had,the Caldiere. I think this will make for a great campaign base setting. I am trying to build on it more and more. Some things I have came up with is that they live in a tribal type atmosphere. There are a couple of small towns on the island. There really isnt a capital although some of the Damned Ones would like there to be. Everything is ran by the Council. The council consists of Barok, who is aging and becoming weak. Fasbo a half-orc who is magistrate over Rhineholg one of the small towns on the island. It also consists of ten representatives from around the island. |
