I don't know where else to even put this, but I wanted to advertise a campaign setting I've made/am in the process of making.
I have it all made up, so I don't feel much like transfering every little bit of information here, so instead I shall link it.

No, it is the right place. Heres a plot hook for you: A powerful undead spellcaster and his magical underlings is planning a spell that will cover the entire world. Making it undead forever and always. It would probably be a BBEG, but still.

It sounds very interesting. A campaign arc/adventure path was done for this kind of thing called "The Age of Worms" in Dungeon. Have you seen it?

In addition to Age of Worms I can forward you to the Ghostwalk setting or even the Shadowlands portion of Oriental Adventures. But if you want something a little more original then why don't you offer something like:

1. A group of surviving gnomes have been found and apparently have a cure or otherwise quick resolution for the state of being undead. As it threatens those undead that are out there, you must protect the gnomes and more deeply probe the secret of the mysterious substance.

2. Due to seizemic activity, a large portion of the undead lands has been desolated. The party is sent to check the damage and report back on any strategic advantages this might give the survivors to finally go on the offensive.

3. The PCs have been exposed to germ or magic that is slowly turning them undead. It is up to them to find a way to stop its progress else be consumed by the curse. In their frantic race against time, they come to realize secrets kept hidden from them and the population and/or that being undead comes with its advantages and temptations.

I hope those help springboard you. If you need any others, please let me know. :cookie:

I disagree, there is plenty you can do with an undead focused campaign. Sure, there are plenty of cliché routes you can take, such as having your "goodly" folks defending constantly against swarms and hordes of undead. Having your "knights in shining armor" rally the defenses of the entire world to stem the tide of undeath and evil flowing from the Underworld.

Or you could go a different route. You could have the heroes try to redeem the spirit of an undead fallen hero. You could have PCs actually be some form of undead, searching for a way to live again - and this could take form in an evil, or a good campaign. You could have a campaign that's basically a rip-off of "Ghost Hunters," where the PCs spend all their time wandering aimlessly from town to town, hunting those elusive poltergeists. Even better, along the same lines, the adventures could be Sherlock Holmes-esque, where the PCs have to solve mysteries, that may or may not be about undead. You can never run out of good ideas for adventures and campaigns.

Well, Im curently working on a simular campaign Idea, but it is more based on the Novel World War Z, except more fantasy.

Basic plot is a zombie virus/plauge is spreading and no one at the start of the campaign knows the how or why. Gods seem powerless to stop it as thier followers begin to lose faith finding that many of thier abilities that normaly allow them to excell vs undead seem to have to affect.

Magic Users (Wizards, Sorcs, etc) are in hideing as these new Zombies seem to have a taste for the Arcane and will go after them 1st if given the chance.

Nature types (Druid, Rangers, etc) of all the caster types they seem to have the greatest advantage, undead treat them no different then any other living humaniod, and unlike Clerics and Paladins they draw power from nature and not gods.

Campaign starts with the PC's doing one of many things, such as fending off attacks in a city/village/hammlet or searching for a cause and/or cure for the outbreak, taking note of things such as the zombies being able to create more of thier kind, a ability they have to this point lacked.

well thats a quick and rough overview of what Im working on.......
