| Lord_of_Vain08-23-07, 06:50 PM | Pretty soon I want my players to start up pirating. My plan right now is pirates attack some shore and they help defend. When the pirates see the PCs strength, after their captain, they yield and ask one of the PCs to be the new captain. There are only two PCs but they have a few cohorts. They are level 7 and on the evil side. Does anyone have any cool pirate/shipping ideas? And also any advice on the mechanics of sea warfare. Obviously that's in Stormwrack but any other thoughts? |

I've always liked that kind of idea--in the Napoleonic Wars there was an off and on British blockade of France and Spain for years. You might try something like that--a dangerous area of forts and enemy ships to 'run' to get supplies through or go in and out of on an important mission. |

| Lord_of_Vain08-24-07, 04:09 PM | No, no stores by me have it. |
| Lord_of_Vain08-25-07, 12:09 AM | I guess I could just take the stats for items in the PH and stuff. It would just be easier if I had it all set up for me. |
| GoriceXII08-25-07, 09:51 AM | If you like give me some idea of what kind of era you're talking about using and I'll come up with some stats for you in a couple of days. |
| Lord_of_Vain08-25-07, 10:38 AM | Ok that'd be cool man. I'm thinking before any sort of gunpower, that just ruins things in my opinion, so they'll be using just ballista and such. Pirates are still a threat, though not a huge one, they're ships are usually smaller than the merchant ships. So yea if you'd throw up stats for ships, maybe a couple different ones, that'd be sweet man thanks. |
