Yea, i need some more ideas to expand my campaign.
We currently have an assassin, 2 rogues, druid, necromancer, ranger, and a fighter. the DM (me) is a monk but i just kinda appear and tell them their mission / quest and leave....

any ideas?

I can't give you any ideas without knowing a little more about your campaign. Where is it set? What are the PC's levels? etc etc etc.

That certainly isn't a small group! Okay tell us what your players enjoy, missions, dungeons, etc. Would they rather be hand held through a narrative, or go free balling in a massive dungeon.

If you good at creating levels, then go and make up several dungeons and just give them an option on which one to run through.

If you like making stories, write up a general plot and toss them into the middle of it.

If they like narrative, put them in the middle of some kind of faction quest with a person or group they may have encountered before. See the "Bad Paladins" post for an example.

If they prefer outright combat, have them walking along when all of the sudden a dragon drops from the sky and have them roll initiative.

If you really need a hook, try something like this: Someone is dead, there is a strange marker on their body. Its unclear what killed them exactly, but they were in the middle of writing a letter asking you to do something for them. They were killed before they could finish. Go.

Hope any of this helped.

Okay, Everyone is level 7 except the 2 assassins are level 8.
Uh we are in the forgotten realms, not really an exact mapped place at the moment, we recently went through a castle and killed everyone because they wouldn't answer our questions.
We are completely against straight combat, The current DM (im taking break) gave all the characters tattoos on their eyelids and they are part of his dark army...but its a minor part the tattoos just give some special ability's...

Oh, the necro died today.... we were all kinda happy (she never did anything)

aha!
The Necro did NOT die!
The Necromancer's death was faked, and she was a mole all along. She didn't even know herself, and now that she's "dead", she appears before her TRUE master, recovers her memories and discloses what she knows about the party.

Does the master plan on using the PCs for his own purposes?
Does this master have something against the dark tattoo-guy the PCs work for? Like maybe he's a rival from years back?

If that isnt enough of a hook the Master Necro steals the druid's animal companion and slowly turns it into a spell stiched undead....

Great template.

Bwhahhahah!

Suddenly a winter wolf growls at you and casts ray of enfeeblement...
Roll Iniative.
