Need mapping help? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-13-07, 04:37 PM Hey all, I'm working on a mapping brush set for Adobe Illustrator and I'm looking for some projects to work on as practice/test/inspiration. If you've got a dungeon map that you wouldn't mind (or would like) having drafted up into a PDF I'd be more than happy to do it up. Just scan in your graph paper (or w/e) and drop me a line!

I'll draft up a basic dungeon handout style map this afternoon as an example.

And "where can I get mapping stuff?" tends to come up in this forum on a semi-regular basis.

12-15-07, 05:26 PM Oh yeah, at least once a week. My advice for people with $50 lying around is to get Campaign Cartographer 3.

Hey LFK, if you have an interest in doing this, I think I could provide a map or two. They are not time critical at this point, as I finished up the section of the campaign using them, so it would be based upon when you had time to finish them, and more for if the party want to return to the location, since they left a lot.

Are you requiring that these maps be made on graph paper? As I do most of my work on the fly on a whiteboard during games and then copy down the maps I have created to hand-drawn whitepaper after the fact. I can provide scale and all that jazz, just not actually graph paper.

12-17-07, 07:03 PM Scale alone is fine, graph paper is not necessary. Just so long as there's something for me to match the grid size to.
