Another anime crossover freak...") called Dennou Coil. It's pretty new, I am watching the subtitled episodes on the internet as they are made available. ^_^ I am wondering, is anyone watching this anime and are you interested in porting over some of the concepts therein? I am most interested in metabugs, metatags, and the whole encoder thing. I think they would make for an excellent cyberpunk style replacement or addition to magic. I will shortly begin trying to decode the diagrams and sigils used by the anime's encoder. t seems like a fun project to me, and if anyone else is interested, any help or creative input would be great! |

As far as I can tell, metabugs have a value because they can be sculpted into metatags, so given the right kinds of metabugs and a skilled sculpter, you could make all sorts of magic items. |

It would be truly annoying if all those diagrams are just random and haphazzard, but I just find it hard to believe someone would go through all the trouble of defining it... at least to the extent that I would like. FMA for example, had a variety of transmutation circles, many of which could be traced to specific or general functions. I am hoping that Coil does at least that much with encoding diagrams. |
