ok i need a little bit of help [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-14-07, 09:36 AM i need help with this quest, id like to make it kind of newbish because ive got 3 to 4 players and one of them started playing last week.

the players characters are-
Male Gnome Bard
Male Half-Orc Barbarian
Male Elf Ranger

and im not sure if there is going to be another, or even if these unreliable so called "D&D players" that i play with are going to stick with these characters.

Quest (help)--we have just entered a town on a different continent because of a ship wreck. we entered the town and werer held hostage by a city of about 1.000 gnomes. they soon fread us after realizing they new the gnome bard in our group. the bard was sent in an earlier quest to find a key to the underground city. the city had not been opened in years so they sent him to see whats down there. well....dispite his strong effort, the gnome did not come back with the key. he was told when he went searching for it that it was a life or death situation. they gnomish city decided to give him one last chance. in exchange for him and his and his followers lives, they hgad to find a way to open the underground city, finding the key or not, and they had to slay what was down there.

if u have advice on that please let me know.

but this is what i really need help with.

some how the get inside of the underground city and they find a huge number of goblin casters.

twards the back of the underground city there is a gnome, but a oddley taller than a gnome. they have to fight there way through huge numbers of goblins to find him but they finally reach him. he is a gnomen exile who ran from the city for the same tasks this bard had, well this gnome bard wasnt giving up. so they chose to fight this exile, which the reason why he was oddley taller than i regular gnome was because of his robotacle attachments that he created.

I really need help with this because i dont know wether to find the key or some how break in.

please help! and help me if u think the quest is stupid :D

07-15-07, 11:30 AM The gnomes are expert miners,why havent they tunneled into the city?If the underground city is inhabited why havent they tunneled out?RANDOM THOUGHT?

07-15-07, 05:58 PM since they are gnomes have the key in some common place in town except that it is high. Put the key in some place high like a chandelier so when the half orc or elf do a spot check they can find the key.

As for gnomes not tunneling in. say they tried but the underground city is encased in some very hard metal that they can't get through.
