| stellarguy113806-22-07, 01:50 PM | First off I would like to say that alot of things have inspired me for this campaign. Star Wars ,Berserk (by Kentaro Miura quite possibly the best dark fantasy ever created.) Dragon Lance, The Legacy of Kain,The Wheel of Time, HBO's Rome series, Pirates of Dark Water, Disney's Gummi Bears, Lord of the Rings, The Dark Ages, Record of Lodoss War, The Bible,The Illiad and The Odyssey anyways you get the idea. So here she is my world of Feyawinn and the story of the Crystals of Balance. The Crystals of Balance Two entities have existed since the beginning of Time. The Spirit of good Illuminal Primius and Spirit of Evil Morbidivius Revel. It still remains uncertain whether these powerful beings had anything to do with the creation of the crystal or if there were created by another outside source. No one really knows who or what created the crystals of balance. Sages have had disputes about this for centuries. They consist of 13 crystals in all they are designed to keep the world of Feyawinn in balance they are Creation, Destruction, Rebirth, Desires, Knowledge, War, Peace, Magic, Space, Fate, Past, Present and Future. |
| stellarguy113806-22-07, 02:13 PM | The creation of Feyawinn The crystal of creation simply gleemed and slowly started to form the planet of Feyawinn. Lush Vegetation started to flourish. Great mountains were erected. Sparkling pristine bodies of water started to manifest. Animals and beasts of all different kinds became the inhabitant of the great continent. The Crystals were pleased with what they saw and what creation had accomplished, but wished to create more intellegent life. The Great Races The First race created were The Golden Elves. The Golden elves were beautiful and lithe and their devotion to the crystals were great. In return for their great worship. The crystal magic blessed them with the divine power of conjuring arts. The next race created deep in the mountains were the Dwarves. A strong stout hearted race more devoted to their crafted weapons and lust for gold then to their creators. Nonetheless there numbers became great and civilization grew to a great empire. Lastly human beings were given a great plain where they would farm and hunt. Human were not as devoted to their creators as the Elves were, but they had more dedication to their makers then that of the dwarves. The humans main weakness was curiousity which made them highly sussceptible to manipulation. |
| stellarguy113806-22-07, 02:30 PM | The Seduction of Evil The spirit of Evil Morbidivious Revel watched the three races and planned on creating dessention among the three races. He saw the lack of faith from the dwarves and what intrigued him the most was the curiousity of the humans. He then took shape as a cloud and went to the leader of the human tribe Mannowin. Using evil seduction he convinced the humans that the "makers" have given the dwarves riches great. Why had the crystals not given the humans riches beyond there wildest dreams. Little, by little. Revel started to break his will to the point that he let evil consume him. He used lies and paranoia to assemble an army and proceed to attack the mountains where the dwarves lived. Bending the humans to fit his evil deeds Revel began to become stronger. He was now able to take the form of a human and Mannowin became the first DarkoverLord. |
| stellarguy113806-22-07, 02:41 PM | The Beginning of War The war between human and dwarves lasted several years. Some of the human soldiers under a man named Shebben saw how evil had consumed Mannowin and defected to a far offland. The spirit of good Illuminal Primius saw the desire in Shebben to do good. He called to Shebben in his dreams and you shall go hunt a white stag in the forest. I want you to skin it an dip the remains in the great river. Shebben did as Primius told him and low and behold when he did. He and his allies were filled with great morale and that cloth became a symbol of the Light Overlord. |
| stellarguy113806-22-07, 02:46 PM | More to come have to go to work feed back is always welcome.:D Pretty much a noob to the board so don't know how to make an Uber set up |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:15 AM | Revels next step in his grand scheme was to cause war between the Dwarves and the Elves. Now appearing as an Elf He was able to convince the elves them that they had assembled an army and wished to steal the source of their divine magic "The great tree".The leader of the tribe Keverin did not believe the strangers words. He set out and hid in the mountains. What he saw amazed him. An army of great masses stood before him. He reported to the elves that what the outlander Elf said is true and the dwarves had assembled army. Keverin seeing the possible threat that the dwarves posed started breeding his elves for the upcoming war. So came the great Dwarf and Elf war. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:44 AM | Mannowins Underlings Now Manowin's cunning deceptiveness has gotten him far with the humans. But Manowin wanted more minions so he corrupted some of the more essentric inhabitants of Feyawinn. Lizards,Rats,Spiders and Snakes all became Manowins humanoid followers. The lizardman became known as the SSlith. The rat people were known as the Finks. The Spiderlings were known as the Arachs. The snakes were known as The Asperia. Manowins army laid waste to the Dwarves and the Elves. He expanded his empire. During one of the great battles fought against the elves. One of the Elves is about to perish at Manowins fiery flail when he agrees to show Manowin where the "great tree" was. The elf's name was Akmed Sorn. When Akmed kneeled before the Dark Overlord his skin turned from Gold to Azure. So became the race of the Elves of Azure. |
| vineyard06-23-07, 12:55 AM | Illuminal Primius and Morbidivius Revel. The main thing I can suggest right off is to change these names,...they are...well...aweful...sorry man. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:57 AM | sorry names stay I like them |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 01:08 AM | The 1st Cataclysm With Ackmed Agreeing to help Mannowin gain control of the "great tree". Mannowin launched an assault on the elves. When the Elves looked like they were outnumbered and doomed. Sheben under the white banner of Illuminal Primius came to the aid of the elves and help defeat the threats of evil. What happened next shocked all the inhabitants of Feyawinn. A giant earthquake tore apart the great continent. During what is known as the first cataclysm Mannowin fell through the earth in a place that is now known as Mannowin's scar. New lands were forged on Feyawinn. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 01:51 AM | The Divine Hierarchy The crystals soon created more spirits in which inspired the inhabitants of Feyawinn. Once a spirit gains faithful followers who are dedicated to their cause a spirit can manifest into a god. Such gods that are worshipped are Torr the god of war, Turin Farseer the god of prophecy, luck and fate, Lucid the god of dreams Shiaganis the god of Nature, Seasons and weather,Rohu the god of time,Keoke the Chortler the god of laughterand childlike innocence, Brehman the god of intellegence, God of Nightmares Delirium Sevron, god of Pestilence Malignus Kai, God of Wisdom, QuanGoddess of Charisma and Beauty Pristine, the God of souls Navin, God of Hate, Abhor'm God of Death, DeVoid God of Curses, Hexxus God of Healing and Peace, Grace Whiteshawl and the God of Strength, Ghorr Stonesplitter. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 02:21 AM | The continents of Feyawinn . Akkrotin Was once a flourishing magocracy and house of the great magic school Inghrim. Until one of the leaders of the Magocracy an upstart by the name of Quessanuin. learned an ancient secret that made him achieve godhood. Quessanuin was a prodigy when it came to magic and well loved by the magic community so of course when it was time to ellect one of the magistrates of Akkrotin Quessanuin was a prime choice. Quessanuin though became disillusioned and believed that magic users could solve all of the worlds problems. Secretly he was digging deep into the occult. The Spirit of evil Morbidivious Revel had corrupted Quessanuin He created a secret society called the Magentas where he gained a huge following. The council soon saw the change in Quessanuin and the magocracy became divided. With his faithful Underlings the Magentas Quessanuin promised a great event. To this day no greater feat of magic has ever surpassed what Quessanuin accomplished. He overthrew and took control of a spirit. In doing this feat Quessanuin gained all the knowledge and powers of Revel.Quessanuin then ascended into the utopia where the crystals appeared for he wished more power and what greater powers are there then the crystals of balance. A war on the ethereal planes came to pass. During the battle Illuminal Primius took the crystals and scattered them across the planet. In an epic clash Illuminal defeated Quessanuin and banished him to the spectral chamber of time to where he is tortured to this day. Akkrotin then because of the cataclysms that followed blamed magic and a new empire arose. The Empire of Darius. The Empire of Darius rules with an ironfist they believe that magic use is evil and those that caught casting magic are put to death. Many mages of Inghrim still exist they have either migrated to different continents or keep their knowledge of magic hidden from the empire. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:36 PM | The Continent of Dramid The continent of Dramid is a noble community. Ruled by the good hearted King Copeland. Dramid is most known for its Redhawk Knights of Tristan. Knights that are dedicated to the cause upholding the law and measure. The only real magic that has been allowed in the continent of Dramid is for defense of the castle Dramid. Otherwise outside magic isn't frowned upon as much as say Akkrotin, but there are some that still blame the cataclysm on the use of magic. Dramid is a rich land. Gold, Gems and other mining source are aplenty in Dramid. Dramid is also rich in its agricultural area Dramid is among the most fertile lands in Feyawinn. Because of its great riches Feyawinn is often the attack of outside Thieves guilds, pirates and Barbarian hordes. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:45 PM | The Continent of Cordere "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany" Okay you get the point Cordere. A land full of con- artists, cutthroats, and pirates. Not really any one governing body here. More like the golden rule. "Who ever has the gold makes the rules". The self-proclaimed governing ruler of Cordere is Kramden Barrage. An enigmatic fellow that not too many outside of Cordere see. Kramden is head of the biggest thief syndicate in Feyawinn the Silent Sheath. Cordere exists off of raping and pillaging other nations, and the occasional treasure hunter. |
| taradusis06-23-07, 12:50 PM | Perhaps you should organize your thoughts better? You can put things behind a spoiler by doing something like {sblock=gold elves}are an ancient race{/sblock} will become are an ancient race if you replace the {} bracketts with [] parathenses instead. This will help to sort or organize thoughts. |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 12:57 PM | Uzbekian "the frozen wasteland" Uzbekian is a desolute place where the Barbarian horde led by the Barbarian King Urik resides. Urik wishes the spoils of battle and to expand his empire Urik often will not slay his opponent, but offers them a chance to live by swearing allegiance to him and his army of Demm Warriors. Rumors exist that Urik used to be a Imperial soldier of Darius. But he betrayed them or he was kicked out for some undisclosed reason. For this may be the reason that attacks are made by the Demms on Akkrotin's capital city of Darius |
| stellarguy113806-23-07, 01:03 PM | Okay like I said really don't know how to do all the fancy set up stuff yet. But as far as the world and storyline is concerned. What do you guys think? Still have more stuff to write up. |
| stellarguy113806-24-07, 08:06 PM | Vashon the Savage Lands After the 1st cataclysm many new lands started, some civilized and others not so much. Vashon became a haven for strange feral beings and essentric tribes. Cannibals, Berserkers, Amazons, Beastlords andTribalmen inhabits the land of Vashon.[ The inhabitants of Vashon are among the most aggressive and poisonous creatures in Feyawinn Outsiders who enter Vashon are lucky to return and usually leave the land with scars both physically and emotionally The mentality of Vashon is simple "Survival of the Fittest" kill or be killed. There is no governing body in Vashon. Those who a tribe deem "worthy" (meaning agressive enough) often become the chieftain. It is not uncommon for another member of the tribe to challenge a chieftain's honor to the death. Magic on Vashon has many different facets. There are tribes that believe that sacrificing animals, virgins, the first born son to the divine spirits or gods grant them powers unmanagable. Some believe that the world was created by great elemental spirits. Others believe that the true almighty power is the power of the animal spirits. |

| stellarguy113806-25-07, 04:59 PM | Duldain /"Land of the Dwarves" Great mountain strongholds, weapons of unbelievable craftmanship, gold and gems beyond your wildest dreams, and the finest brewed ale in all of Feyawinn is what awaits you on the continent of Duldain. Named after the King that founded Duldain, Uberic Duldain. Duldain is a mighty empire with a grand army. Besides being greater crafters of weapons and armor they are great stonecarvers. The capital city Dunbar is completely carved by stone. The main attraction of Dunbar is the Hall of Dunbar a huge hall of statues dedicated to the previous Dwarven Kings of Duldain. The Dwarves of Duldain have a military that is rivalled only by the soldiers of Darius. Dwarves are also known for their construction of siege weapons that have aided them greatly in battle great catapults, battering rams, and other such mechanical mayhems have been constructed by the Dwarves. The Dwarves of Dunbar are untrusting of all other magic but their own and some don't even like their own magic. The little magic that the dwarves use are for crafting weapons. Most Dwarves hate Elves. They see Elves as arrogant and selfish creatures that still practice magic even though it nearly destroyed the word. The majority of Dwarves hate humans too they see them as weak minded creatures that are easily manipuated. |
| stellarguy113806-25-07, 05:58 PM | Thulyden "The enchanted lands" The "Mecca"for all those devoted to the practice of magic. Thulyden founded by the Surviving Golden Elves after the cataclysm, is a haven for all things spellcasting. Some people believe the intense connection to magic here is a direct link to the crystal of magic. Most spellcasters it is believed migrated here after the cataclysm to avoid execution from the Empire of Darius. One rumor even has the tower of Inghrim the once great wizards school and sages tower is now found here through some powerful magic spell.Spells and new schools of magic have emerged through peoples stay here among them (Amalgamation) a practice that has combined two or more spells together to create a new spell. (For example a Fireball with a haste spell attached to it) Traveling Alchemists have found some of the most valuable reagants for their experiment on Thulyden. Inhabitants of Thulyden are many. Magical animals such as Pegasi,Unicorns,Ki-rins,and pseudodragons are found here. Pixies, fairies,Dryads, brownies and other such woodland creatures are also common. The Elves welcome all those who dedicate themselves to the study of magic. It seems they even have developed some sort of scrying device or spell that locates those who are magic users. Some follow this "calling" in hope to aid Thulyden from the evil that exists from the outside. This continent has been at constant war with The Empire of Darius. Although Darius's forces are great the magical defenses of Thulyden is enough to push them back. The Continent is also at war constinently with the Magentas Quessanuin's remaining devoted followers. Whom wish to take over the continent in honor of their mentor and leader. |
| stellarguy113806-26-07, 12:42 AM | Festonia"the land of the dead" Eery darkness, blood curdling screams, walking dead, vampires, witches, haunted castles and crypts, necromancers, cults devoted to the apocalypse,Magic devoted to souls, ancient armies, demonology, possessions, genetic experiments ressurrected ancient armies all of this is yours if you dare enter Festonia. Perhaps the most pecular thing occuring about Festonia is the strange glowing barrier that surrounds it. It allows only certain people or things to enter. Some suggest that the barrier is an actual living entity and has some knowledge of their preordained destiny and if their existance will help Festonia grow. Festonia is not ruled by one figurehead in particular more like several each ruling over their own territories. The territory known as Karth is named after one of the first inhabitants of Festonia a Vampire berserker named Valid Karth. He soon assembled a massive army charming them using his vampiric abillites. Karth's demise happened suddenly some say his death was the product of a curse, others say an evil mage has his soul stolen. The current ruler of Karth is a powerful necromancer named Lord Phage he has managed to raise Karth's Kartherian warmongers from the dead. Mitherist is a territory named after a once almighty Anti- Paladin and Darkoverlord of Revel who ruled the territory for several. His fortress resides in a volcano of hellfire and brimstone. Mitherist is joined by the Death Knight Dalo and his army of skeleton warriors. This army imposes doom for althose trying to take his throne. The land of Thrall is ruled by the Lich King Karok Deathshroud. He resides in Castle Thrall a castle with emense supernatural abilities. Among the strangest anomilies is the "fugue fog". This strange fog that surrounds the castle has the ability to have you lose the sense of yourself and develop a different persona. Often suspecting victims of the fog believe they are servants of the castle or in some cases warriors that will defend the castle. Evil exists in many forms in the Land of Festonia occult rituals and practices are commonplace in Festonia. Among the largest cults is the Cult of the Horseman of the Apocalypse. The cult of the horseman of the apocalypse are a group of High evil priests devoted to the God of Death, Famine,War and Pestilence. They believe that the end of days is near and the only way of survival is to swear allegiance to one of the Horseman. Demonology or the practice of worshiping and summoning demons is also practiced in Festonia among the biggest if threse cults is The Dominion Of Grammash. Grammash is a demon herald of Revel worshippers of Grammash make sacrifices to him an in return they recieve emmense diabolical powers such as summoning imps, demons, breathing hellfire, demon possession, etc Festonia is definitely not a land where u should plan a vacation |
