Opening sentence [Archive] - Wizards Community

Well okay it isn't a sentence, it is a paragraph. The idea is that for my world I am writing a myth about the creation of the first language, and I want you to tell me what you think of the opening:

It began with three. It began in a land, new and rich with life of many kinds. With its innocence, ignorant of itself and its peoples the same, it began with three. In those days, three cultures emerged triumphant in their environment. Three peoples claimed their land out of the struggle of their ignorant peers, and aligned themselves to their land forever. Those peoples knew a lot about themselves, even then, but they did not know each other.
