During the many Ages of Krhyberynn, Guilds of many kinds have risen and fallen. Some like the Mages, the Mercenaries, the Thieves, and the Merchants, are constant in one form or another. But many are lost through the many hundreds of years, accidentally or by design.

One such Guild, the Guild of Leaders, first arose during the First Age of Man, when Gods wandered the land and Dragons held mighty empires in their claws. The Guild was formed to find suitable heroes to gain fame and power and provide leadership to the masses. But unlike Kings and Queens, these people would lead by example, showing to be the epitome of noble qualities.

But as is the way of Man, the Guild's days were numbered. During the Great War of Fire, the people of the land struck at the Gods and the Dragons. In the ensuing cataclysm, the Gods left the world behind and they took the high magic of the Dragons with them, leaving the great lizards as long-lived but mortal beings.

The Guild as is their way, foresaw the inevitable end of all they strived for, and made peace with the Gods and struck a deal. Spare the Guild and when the time for their return was ripe, they would rise up and be the heralds for a new age, The Age of Heroes.

The time is coming near, when the Gods will once again walk the ground of Krhyberynn, and the Guild must wake from it's long "slumber" and resume leading by example.

The great Mage must stand beside the Holy Warrior and the Noble Thief. Together they will usher in the time of the Gods in a faithless land, and you young ones are to be the first...

This will be the introduction to my new campaign. It will have at first only 3 "Heralds" and I hope to make it a large scale campaign where the PCs can own land and have a direct impact on the world around them.

I'm basically looking for some critiques and ideas for adventures for a 1st level group in this type of world. I'm pretty new to DM-ing and I want to provide my players with a "realistic" fantasy world that isn't static and develops as they do.

Thanks in advance for any tips :)
