YamiShinobi 03-10-08, 11:37 PM	the group though unconfirmed thta i plan to dm for have a few things in common that filll majorities possible players (unconfirmed) myself DM Jordan barela Jacob Miller Larry Maxwell Tony Bonnafon Jeffrey bloor posssibly nintendo obscessed Russell Benson it may be between 3 and 5 people World of warcraft players ( 3 +1 private server owner) myself (blood elf rogue and mage) jordan barela (Army, halo, wow mage) larry maxwell (kick in the door, pefers blood elf paladin (wow) or any flashy elf subrace) jacob miller (human rogue, or blood elf anything, he has a private server for wow) anime fanboys ( mostly wierd stuff that most can't find, one has a huge collection of hentai, the other isn't quite a fanboy, but he likes wierd strange anime that many don't hear of, such as R.O.D., Irresponsible captain tyler, plus me, a clamp fan) myself (clamp or any loli heavy anime or rpg) jeff bloor (Hentai Collector) tony bonnafon (ROD) one of the wow players also likes military and halo (even though his WOW char is a mage) there is another guy who is more of the kick in the door type ( he likes flashy pictures more than anything when it comes to characters, the only races i've seen him paly on wow are blood elves, (blood elf paladins) Private server owner especially likes human rogues Anime fanboy (hentai collector) will probably play his fetished elf (whatever it may be) mister wierd anime guy (not mister hentai colllector) likes to roleplay in character and has to have his concepts exact, (if he can't have one minor detail allowed, he goes into a remake mode, he especially likes charismatic controllers) the wow players are kick in the door types except one (me who is a third anime fanboy, Clamp fan) to me, it doesn't matter, i need a quick world and campaign for kick in the door types with a hint of roleplaying for mister ROD special concept guy (he has to have his concepts exact and prefers evil charismatic maniplators) but i don't want to make it too long, just a series of minorly detailed modules a map and such, i plan on core, phb2 and the non aquatic UA races, this is going to be my first time DMing, and i only have 5 books, the core 3 plus PHB2 and unearthed arcana i plan on making everybody level 1 to start, 40 point buy i may also need encounters please contribute your ideas. i will use as many as possible.
james_gaines 03-11-08, 01:48 AM	Plot line ideas? Settings? Group makeup? How big is it exactly? It sounds like 4, but your a bit vague, so I can't tell. Ok, so you said you want to start simple, thinking traditional Warcraft/dnd/rpg thing, maybe have them be the denizens of a town that gets attacked? That sets up a BBEG right off the bat, creates motive and incentive for storyline. Maybe have the first couple of sessions be tracking their carnage (should be pretty easy, make them go through some caves or forests or something that can be set up in episodic adventures). Let it be a eastern flavored city for the japanophiles, maybe let one be a 'samurai' in training(just a fighter with a masterwork katana) and the other can be a 'ninja' in training (rogue with various thrown objects). If the halo guy really wants the gun-fighter thing, give him a flintlock pistol (should be able to find it in DMG).
