| Evilpyro1505-24-07, 11:12 AM | I'm doing a campaign where the main part of the world is dominated by Vampires from a plague. I know, evil, but it could be interesting. Has anyone got any advice for me? So far, changes I've made: Everyone in the world has 60ft Darkvision, those who had it already have 120ft. Everyone in the world has Light sensitivity, but only slightly. Lycanthropes have collars which keep them in animal form, and are pets for the Vampires. Vampires look a bit more human. Most other races apart from humans have left. All my players arrived from different worlds, so they are finding it difficult to cope with the weather. (Cloudy, Cloudy w/rain, Cloudy w/snow, Cloudy w/Thunder and lightning. This is to keep the Vampires happy.) Daylight lasts for around 3 hours a day. Thanks if you give advice. |

In those a vampire is a cruel, dangerous capricious ruler who is capable of mercy and benevolence but only as whim. Their true nature is rapacious and predatory. They regard humans as servants, bed toys, food, soldiers. Villages pay tribute to vampire overlords, sometimes in human beings. If you have cities and a somewhat higher social level than Lumely presented then perhaps this has been somewhat refined--there might be an entire class of human intermediaries who deal with issues of tribute and commerce. |
