| Bacchus253004-30-07, 02:48 AM | I'm working on my campaign world and I've decided to really focus on each part at a time. Here is the how the World of Tahman was created. I want to really fine tune this. I also have questions on how to adapt a single creation story to multiple races in a more realistic scenario. I've given one race a false goddess and of course there will be groups that follow the evil gods but I'd like to have something more evolved than just simple one race worships one god. Maybe variations on each gods. In the beginning there was the Void. The Void was nothing and it was everything, it was Unitos (unity). Unitos thought and there was time and it realized it was alone. Unitos grew lonely. From the Void, it pulled forth a great light, it split this into Pyros the Sun and Lunaria the Moon. As they moved about Unitos, they created day and night. Unitos saw this was good and gave Pyros dominion over Day and to Lunaraia he gave Night. This was the first day. Unitos watched as the two great lights danced and fell in love. Unitos decided to create more things to amuse himself. From his flesh and blood he created Tahman the Great Land and Myr the Great Lord of Water. From his breath and passion he created Verian the Mistress of Air and Heritas the Master of Fire. Unitos watched them cavort and dance and was happy. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the second day. The Unitos bid Tahman to fill her lands with beasts and plants to fill each terrain. Tahman created animals that walked, slithered, and burrowed upon her. He requested Myr to fill his depths with creatures to fill the lakes, rivers, seas and even the great oceans. Myr set about filling them with creatures from the smallest squiggler to the great leviathans. The creatures took to their places and swam. To Verian he made the task of filling the air with life. Verian set about creating birds of all sizes, and mammals that fly, and insects with gossamer wings. They flitted and filled the skies. Heritas asked to create children, the Unitos agreed. Heritas created only a few who could live in the flames, salamanders, fire newts, and his prize the phoenix. These creatures ran amock and filled the sight of the Unitos and he smiled on them, he made them fruitful. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the third day and the First Age. The Unitos saw that life was good and decided to help create the greatest creations, who would be stewards. With Tahman he created Mankind and the Sawaji. With Myr he created Mermen and Dolphins. With Verian he created the Elves and Fey. With Heritas he created the Dwarves and the Dragons. The Unitos breathed into each of these creations and gave them life. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the fourth day and the Second Age. All went well and everything prospered. The plants, animals and beings filled the planet until it was so crowded, Unitos sent Pyros and Lunaria on a different dance to create the seasons to thin out the plants thus giving life to the White Queen, he then created the Green Man to cull out the beasts. For the beings he created the Weavers( Anges the Giver of Life, Morrigan the Fate Dealer, and Daimona the Taker) who would return the divine breath back to the Unitos thus reuniting the lost souls. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the fifth day and the Third Age. The four elemental gods grew angry that Unitos would do this to their creations. They decided they no longer needed him and set about to destroy him. Their greed, anger and jealousy brought forth Kragin, who enticed them to further rebel. He began to inflict his influence upon the beings, mostly humans who were the most susceptible. As they worshipped him, he spread his lies and corruption. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the sixth day and the Fourth Age. The Unitos was angry and struck out at his children, who cowered in shame. He looked around and was no longer happy with his creations so he decided to leave them to their own world. Before he withdrew he gave his Weavers, his only loyal children, soldiers to protect and assist them. He created Anges to gather good souls to a paradise where they would await his return. For the souls of the wicked he created Demons to gather and punish until he chose fit to judge them. Kragin saw his opportunity and began to steal souls on the rare chance he could find a lost one, he created ghosts and monsters of these to spread fear. Where Kragin had poisoned the earth, a woman of terrifying beauty and the tail of a scorpion stepped forth. Sherka Feran who was the embodiment of disease, poison and vileness that Kragin and the anger of the 4 elementals had let lose. The four elemental gods, sought to regain the favor of Unitos and to undo their own damage. They set out to battle Kragin and Sherka Feran. They gathered their armies and with their great General, The Raven King, they set out and began the battle for paradise. In their wars they almost destroyed the earth and everything on it. It was only when the Unitos stepped in and put them all in their places for eternity. The Unitos gathered Pyros and Lunaria together and the three wept. Their tears gave birth to the last divine being. Hope, who might one day bring about peace and the return of the Unitos. He then left. A routine set in and the Gods set to nurturing their children as best as they could since the gift of divine creation was now gone. They could alter but no longer create since they did not have the Divine spark. Pyros and Lunaria danced, this was the seventh day and thus began the Fifth Age… Any feedback is welcomed. |

| Anuvrix05-01-07, 12:32 PM | I kind of like it. One entity creates gods, gods annoy entity, entity leaves. First one like this ive heard. |
| Bacchus253005-04-07, 08:20 PM | Thanks Anuvrix. I've decided to have a small religious order dedicated to the Void, praying for it's return to rid the world of evil. Something like the ascetics. Just an idea at this point. |
