| xeno12110-03-07, 09:34 AM | I searched, but was anyone working on, have, any classes worked out from .Hack? If not, I'll have to do it myself, but seeing as I've only beat the 1st, and the 2nd and 3rd are not currently in my possession, it'll be a little rougher, and probably less accurate than someone else can do. There's either the easy route: Where we only cover Haseo's 3 choices Or the Hard route: We use the 4 point-buy system for classes and stat out each one, and what you would gain by choosing it. This would probably require a large group effort to be done in any feasible amount of time. |
| serow_#R10-03-07, 10:35 AM | You know, I always figured that the Adept Rogue class was a Swordsage/Fighter gestalt, since that's about the only way he can effectively cover Two-Weapon Fighting (TWF feats for 1st form), Two-Handed Fighting (Power Attack chains for 2nd form), wide sweeping area attacks (the whole Whirlwind Attack chain for 3rd form), and "Archery" chain for his X-Form, while maintaining his "magic" (Swordsage maneuvers). |
| xeno12110-04-07, 02:50 AM | I've been working on a little something. I'm trying to make it into a Base Class, but the longer I make this, it seems like it's a fighter/warblade or something. I mean, it needs the spring attack line which eats up 3 feats alone. Quick Draw Spring Attack: 3 feats TWF: 3 feats Whirlwind Attack: 2 feats Power Attack: 3 feats Point Blank Shot Rapid Shot Many Shot Shot on the Run Rapid Reload (Light crossbow) Maybe: Leap Attack Bounding Assault Rapid Blitz Rapid Assault(to represent the 1st turn sneak attack you can get in .hack//g.u.) Skewer Foe(to represent the chainsaw-like blades, though it makes Twinblade have too many feats to me) Flay Foe (same as above) Normally you have 12 feats overall, and the ranged feats are only applied when you use your Xth-Form, which I'm thinking is a 3/day type thing. A Fighter only gets 11 bonus feats but you only keep a smaller number per style. Twinblade: 7 Edge Punisher: 4 (think it needs a few more) Flick Reaper: 2 (same as above) Dual Gunner: 11 (3/day) It changes Weapons and my idea was it would also change schools/maneuvers usable and you'd gain and lose feats accordingly. Such as when going from Twinblades to the Flick Reaper, you'd gain the Whirlwind attack line, and lose the Two-weapon fighting line. Going Edge Punisher from Flick Reaper you would gain the Power Attack Line, and lose the Whirlwind attack line. I'm thinking if we want to get inventive, to stat out the weapon skills, and translate them into maneuvers. Here's links to the skills(scroll down): Twin Blade(Go to World R:2): http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Twin_Blade Edge Punisher: http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Edge_Punisher Flick Reaper: http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Flick_Reaper Dual Gunner: http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Dual_Gunner The Dual Gunner would wield Crossbows that have bayonets on them without the -2 penalty on attack rolls from bayonets, and probably be magical and temporarily manifest while in the Form.(something like a Mindblade) Rengeki(Combo Attack): I was thinking that if you can connect with every hit in a full attack(or Whirlwind Attack), you can either as a free/immediate action, use a skill, and it deals double damage. Hangeki(Counter Attack): I was thinking counters from ToB(not sure on which ones) I could use a little direction on feat/form placement lv1. First Form(Twinblade), Rapid Assault, (TWF:TB) lv2. (Dodge:TB) lv3. lv4. (Mobility:TB) lv5. lv6. (Spring Attack:TB) lv7 Second Form(Edge Punisher), (Power Attack: EP), (iTWF:TB) lv8. lv9. lv10. lv11. lv12 (Combat Expertise:FR) lv13 lv14 Third Form(Flick Reaper) (Whirlwind Attack:FR) (iTWF:TB) lv15 lv16 lv17 lv18 lv19 lv20 Xth Form(Dual Gunner) 3/day (Ranged Feats:DG) (All TB Feats while in DG form) I'm thinking D8 or D10 HD, Med or Full BAB, Medium Armor Proficiency, 4-6 skill points/level. Might use a Spell Point system(forgot which book, but I think there's a conversion for spell slots to points somewhere) instead of the maneuver system of ToB. I don't know how to do any tags, or formatting boxes on these forums, so that knowledge would be very beneficial. I'll make an official Post to P.E.A.C.H. the class once I get some input from everyone on the boards to get this as good as possible. |
| serow_#R10-07-07, 12:51 PM | Double post. |
| serow_#R10-07-07, 12:56 PM | Something just hit me. A Soulknife 10/Soulbow 10 gets the job done quite interestingly. Take Two-Weapon Fighting for the dual shortswords in 1st Form, Power Attack with the bastard sword for the 2nd Form, Reshape Mindblade (Scythe) for the 3rd Form (3rd Form gets Bladewind from Soulknife 9), then the archery feats granted from Soulbow to power the guns in X-Form. |
