+1 level existing class [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have these question, please help.

A 7th level Wizard advances 1 level in a prestige class that say: +1 level existing class.

The Wizard now is like a 8th level for the purpose of:
Spell per Day and Spell Known, right?

Does he gains two bonus spell for his spellbook?

Does he gains bonus feats?

Does his familiar gains abilities?

Is there a FAQ for the phrase: "+1 level existing class" ?

I think it applies to your level for everything related to spells.

In the description of most prestige classes their is a clarifcation, what is meant by "+1 level existing class".

AFAIK that's additional Spells per Day, additional Spells Known, two Bonus Spells for Wizards but no bonus feats, no more familiar abilities.
