1.) When a Tattooed Monk tattoos give benefits for "each additional tattoo he possesses", do they mean ALL tattoos he possesses, or just those acquired AFTER the tattoo in question? For instance, the Crab tattoo gives DR 2/-, increasing by 2 for "each additional tattoo he possesses". That "additional" is the question...does it refer only to tattoos AFTER acquiring Crab?

2.) The Warshaper's benefits (morphic reach, etc) apply only when shapeshifted (via wild shape, alter self, etc). Would they apply when using the Animal Lord's Wild Aspect ability? (I know that wouldn't let a character qualify for Warshaper...assume he has druid levels as well).

1) "each additional tatoo" would mean just that, you count them all. That does mean some tats become more useful immediately if taken later but it does save on bookwork.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is the tattoed monk from?

Complete Warrior (where it seems like all my favorite classes are from). They're basically a 10-level prestige designed for monks to go into...they gain up to 5 special tattoos, each of which gives you different magical benefits (many of which get better the more tattoos you have). I'd rather play a Mnk10/TtMk10 than a straight Mnk20 any day. But I (shamefully admit) like them for dipping, since you get your first tattoo at 1st level in the class, so a 1 or 3 level dip nets you 1-2 tattoos, some of which give great standalone benefits (for example...the Ocean tattoo means you don't need to eat, drink, or sleep anymore. The White Mask tattoo gives you immunity to mind-reading and alignment detection, and a +10 on all Bluff checks. I'm working on a tattooed monk/invisible blade master feinter.
