2 weapon fighting and sneak attack [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-12-05, 07:47 AM If i have a 5th level rogue and am using a weapon in each hand, I do get +3d6 damage for both weapons if I am flanking, and manage to hit, correct?

Just out o curiousity, what weapons do you use?

I have a player using a 14th level rogue that will use a wand of invisibility to sneak up to melee range weilding a shortsword in each hand and put in a an extra attack with her boots of haste. That is four attacks with a +7d6 damage all using the benefits of invisibility for that round to hit and most hits do land. That is 32d6 damage not counting her significant bonus from strength and magic enchantment. The first time she did this I was stunned by the damage she could put out. I made our barbarian seem weak.

What is worse is that sometimes she will use a wand of greater invisibility and repeat this round to round. It is friggin insane.

Right now, a +2 rapier, but may add a +1 shortsword for the extra attack.

Um, if the rogue doesn't flank, i don't think that is legal.

If invisible (not greater invisible) your rogue can do the sneak attack with his/her first attack, but for the rest of his/her full round attacks they do not get sneak attacks -- worse yet, the subsequent attacks are no longer considered "denied" of dexterity bonus so opponent AC goes back to normal (with DEX bonus) after the first hit.
