DrowSmurf 08-23-05, 04:38 PM	Ok so i was a Halfling Barbarian1/Ranger1/Fighter2/Infiltrator1 with weapon focus and finesse in short sword... i planned on eventually taking Frenzied Berserker PrC. I just died last night and got reincarnated... and i came back as a Brown Bear! :tantrum: I dont have thumbs now, so i cant use weapons until i get polymorphed into having thumbs. But i just need help deciding what weapons i should use now... my 2claw and a bite for 1d8 and 2d8 or short swords for... possibly a d8 or d10 depending on the rules... or just use a large greatsword! Mind you all this is 3.0 if you didnt notice already! I would just like suggestions and comments.... oh did i mention this halflings name was Belkar!!! :D
Pliskit 08-23-05, 04:56 PM	Haha you´ve got what? A plus 7 on strength at least compared to your former stats, you´re large and you´re whining about weapons? Read the rules for grappling and be loved by your partymembers :D

RavenDrake 08-24-05, 12:41 AM	It does kind of suck losing your short sword feats now, what with no thumbs, but take a good look at your new combat stats: 1d8 damage each for Claws, and 2d6 for Bite. +7 Strength bonus(on top of whatever it was before, I guess...) LARGE SIZE for heavens sake. I'm with Plisket on this one... Graple your way to fame and fortune. Alternately, if you really want to keep your weapon combat, check out(since you're still in 3.0) the Master's of the Wild sourcebook for a weapon enhancemnt, who's name I'm afraid I don't remember, that basically puts an opposible thumb ON a weapon to let you weild it in animal form... it was a +1 or +2 bonus, I think, but It will not only let you use all your short sword based feats, but you can weild a shortsword one size larger than normal for 1d8 damage(same as your claws).
ajmastrean 08-24-05, 10:48 AM	@OP There is an item out there (don't know which book) called the "Gloves of Man" which give any creature thumbs. Have fun, probably expensive. If you had only turned into a Panda...
