The Souljourner 09-10-04, 11:25 AM	The difference is that bugbears are monsters first and PC races second. They have 3 hitdice because they have 3 hitdice, and that's their major drawback. They should probably be a +0 race with those three hitdice... but WoTC has never given crappy hitdice enough weight in my opinion. Goliaths, on the other hand, have been designed as a PC race, and therefor were not given racial hitdice. If you compare the two and ignore the racial hitdice on the bugbear, the comparison is pretty close. -The Souljourner
