| happosaai12-24-05, 09:48 PM | Hi there. I've been searching around for a way to create an Anti-Paladin as the main baddie for a campaign I'm getting ready to run, but the only rules I've found to create one is to get high enough level to take the Blackguard prestige class. That got me to wondering... if the Paladin is a core class, then why is the counter to a paladin a prestige class? Google has unfortunately not been very helpful in my search to find a homebrew core Anti-Paladin to create so here I am asking if anyone here either has or knows where I might be able to find a class template for one? If not, I was thinking about re-working the Paladin's stats and skills into an evil version... Smite Evil -> Smite Good, Lay Hands -> Harm Touch... ideas like that. I'm a little stumped on what to change the disease immunity and diving blessing into though? Thanks in advance for any information provided :) |

| Ziatyn Phoenixwolf12-25-05, 12:11 PM | The reason for there being no base Anti-palidin class is because of the differeny ways that Good and Evil invest their resorces. Good tends to place a vast amount of power into one HERO. Where Evil tends to place very little power amongst many MINIONS. Can you see why it takes a prestege class for there to be an Evil "Hero". |

Ziatyn, I'm mainly looking for this type of character to play either the main villan, or the 1st Leutenant for the High Priest of an evil God. Definately not as a HERO in the campaign. Though I can see why WotC would make it so you had to take a prestige class to become a Blackguard. |

Unless you use that class from Dragon. I personally would use that, since it is truly and ANTI-paladin. |
