01-29-06, 09:47 AM I was wondering, did the rogue in 3rd edition have the ability to "Hide in Plain Sight"? If so, when was the rogue able to gain that ability and why did they take that away from the rogue in 3.5?

They never did. In 3.0e, Hide in Plain Sight was only available to Prestiege Classes. If you want to make it something they can get in 3.5 as a special ability, more power to you. But I don't think it's something they need to have since you can play a rogue who isn't a hiding backstabber.
