| fat_hampster06-28-06, 07:36 PM | Order of the Bow Initiate gets it at 10th lvl I think Im not sure what book its in, I think its complete warrior, or possibly races of the wild. |
| K06-28-06, 07:44 PM | Rogues get it at level 10 as well when they get "Skill Mastery" and can take 10 on Use Magic Device checks to activate a wand of sniper's eye. |
| Kazeofwinds06-28-06, 07:47 PM | PrCs? Bah, just take crossbow sniper. |
| mostholy206-29-06, 12:27 AM | Rogues get it at level 10 as well when they get "Skill Mastery" and can take 10 on Use Magic Device checks to activate a wand of sniper's eye.Unfortunately, no. Rogues cannot "take 10" on a UMD check. It was clarified in the most recent v3.5 FAQ. He could still make a check to use the wand normally. |

| Suzaku45506-29-06, 07:23 PM | Phb2 |
| JayDubya06-29-06, 08:29 PM | PHB2. In addition to getting sneak attack, skirmish, etc, all extended out to 60', you get half your dex mod in bonus damage (14 dex = +1 damage, 18 = +2, 22 = +3 ... etc). All you need is proficiency, +1 BAB, and Weapon focus with the crossbow type you're using (though you'd likely want to pick up Rapid Reload, Precise Shot, et al). This one was published on the website, and still is, so technically I'm just quoting the website. PHB2 is a rocking addition to any gaming group's library though. |
| Rolof06-29-06, 09:01 PM | Dunno if it's 3.5 legal or not, but there's a 1st level ranger spell that allows you sneak attack at range only limited by the range of the weapon you're using. I'm surprised that it never comes up in these type threads. |

Actually that ability is called Ranged Precision... Dunno if it's 3.5 legal or not, but there's a 1st level ranger spell that allows you sneak attack at range only limited by the range of the weapon you're using. I'm surprised that it never comes up in these type threads. Its called "Sniper's Shot" (Spell Compendium, also Complete Adventurer) and it usually gets a mention in these discussions - although - the original writter wanted to get his 60' SA via a PrC... J |
