| Finger-Poke-O-Doom04-06-08, 05:45 PM | I have recently started playing d&d, and my first selected character is a barbarian. I am currently level 9 and interested in becoming a tempest. I would like to level as a barbarian for 2 more rounds to get my damage reduction 2 and greater rage; Then thought about either a cross class with a warblade or fighter for the bonus feats. If my calculations are correct I could reach level 1 tempest by level 15 or 16. Current feats taken: Two Weapon fighting, improved two weapon fighting, reckless rage, oversized two weapon fighting, weapon focus. If anyone has any ideas on how I could reach this faster please suggest. I think this may be the best way. |

Are you thinking of another PrC before that? There's no reason not to dip Dervish if you're going for Tempest. In general, barbarians don't work so well with TWF as their massive strength benefits them more if they go for a two-hander, but you can certainly try. |

If you're going to multiclass with Warblade, maybe you might want to consider staying Warblade and loading up on those Tiger Claw maneuvers that deal with 2WF, and just roleplaying your character as a Tempest-style warrior. :) |
