What would be a balanced way to give a Cleric 6 skill points per level and an expanded skill list? I was thinking cut his hit points to a d6 per level, give him proficiency in light armor only, and take away one of his domains.

Is that fair? If not, what would be? Thanks.

This may not be what you are looking for, precisely, but it's an idea. Make up a domain for the cleric that gives him more skill points every level. Perhaps name it "versatility" and flesh it out with a spell list that improves said versatility, incorporating a wide variety of spells that while not incredibly powerful, offer a breadth of choices. As a granted ability, the ability to add a bonus to one skill check per day would certainly be in flavor. These are just thoughts, feel free to critique or improve them.
