The stance Iron Guard Glare gives enemies you threaten a penalty to attacks against your allies. How does this stance work against mindless undead or blind creatures? Would the penalty still apply? Any insight into this ability would be appreciated.

The rules text does not provide any exemption for undead or blind creatures, so it works just fine against them.

The thematic name of the stance has no impact on its rules functions.

I think it works like that of the CA (Fiendish Glare from that one PRC) even though you can't see it, you're still affected by it. Its not so much of a "Glare" but an aura that you feel.

In the case of mindless undead, you can answer this yourself easily: Look at the descriptors. It does NOT have the mind-affecting descriptor, therefore it works against mind-immune and mindless creatures. It doesn't specify living targets, and it doesn't fall under normal undead immunities, so it functions against undead.

As for blindness, nothing -- anywhere -- says that they need to see you in that stance, just that they become aware of it. So it works on blinded creatures.

If that bothers you, remember that flavor is mutable and you can rename things as you see fit -- and unlike most WotC books, the Tome of Battle itself recommends you do so (see pages 40-41, under Martial Discipline).

Seriously, checking descriptors can answer nearly EVERY such question -- although I admit blindness isn't exactly covered that way (there should be descriptors keyed to senses, I think -- there's Language-Dependent already, so why not Sight-Dependent?)
