| DorienAenor03-01-07, 12:07 AM | I wanted to create a way that my human Druid could use his Wild Shape class ability to become a Polar Bear but remain with his Medium/ humanoid size/ type and get prehensile hands, so i created this feat. Is this feat overpower? Hybrid Wild Shape By using one of your Wild Shape uses you can assume a hybrid form of one animal. Prerequisite: be able to assume the form of a Large animal using Wild Shape ability. Benefict: Choose an animal. You can assume a hybrid form of it. You retain your own size and change your apearence to look like the animal of your choice, so, depending the animal you can get claws, sharp tooth, wings and ect. You gain the animal natural atacks but the damage is changed to fit your size (a medium bear claw would deal 1d6 of damage instead of 1d8) and no matter the animal you choosed you must add -2 str, -2 con and +2 dex to its ability scores. You have the same restrictions of a normal Wild Shape: You canīt talk while in Hybrid Wild Shape, you canīt choose an animal with more HD than your Druid level and all your equipment is meld in your new form, except that you can choose to make your armor visible (but still useless unless it has the Wild ability). You get prehensile hands and animalistic features. Especial: You can chose this feat multiple times for chosing another animal. The point for creating this feat is just to have a stylish Druid and to get prehensile hands in any animal-hybrid form, so, you can have your druid looking almost the same as it was before but with some animal traits and having the beneficts of Wild Shaping into an animal... But my problem is: If I get the Polar Bear Hybrid form as a human Druid I wonīt change my size to Large, I will remain as a Medium character. How can I handle with this size decrease without loosing 8 Strength points (the main reason for choosing this polar bear is because of its Strenght) and not be overpowering my character, after all, getting 27 Strength, prehensile hands and still as a medium character could be a problem for some DMīs, right? Any advices will be really apreciate, Felipe. |
