Extemper 03-31-04, 04:30 AM	Hello all, Another short question to all 3.0 gamers: I just don't get the following statement in the Druid character class text, speaking about the Wild Shape ability: "Unlike the standard use of the spell, however, the druid may only adopt one form" What does this mean for my druid? May I only choose ONE single animal per size category and transform into this one every time, I use the spell? Or does it mean, I can only transform into one animal a time? Somehow I don't get this right. Up to now I thought, the Druid can take on the form of any animal he knows (so for example one day a wolf, the next a bear and the day after a dog...)? But this text passage kind of puzzeled me. Please help! ;) Thanks for your answer in advance.

But this text passage kind of puzzeled me. 3.0, I'm no sure, but I've played an druid in 3.0 too, and as I know the druid can take the form of every animal he knows, anytime up to your wildshape uses per day! You don't have to choose one form for the day! Example: You can fly in bird-form to an encounter, wildshape into bear-form, kick some azz, and if it's time for an fast retreat, you can shape into cheetah-form and sprint off, or wildshape into a rat and hide somewhere! I hoff des hilf' dia! ;)
Will Brandiman 03-31-04, 06:12 AM	What it means is that for each use of wildshape you can only assume one form, ie you cannot change from your normal form to (say) a wolf and then a bear and then a hawk during a single use of wildshape, whereas you could if you were using the Polymorph Self spell. So it's identical to Polymorph Self except that you can only assume one form each time you use it.
