Karkamal 01-26-06, 11:56 PM	(sorry my bad english) i have used lots of druids but i have never maked good use of them... can you suggestme some strategies, combo spells, animal companion, race, etc? i have 8 lvls and 30k gold pieces to make a new druid and i can only use the core books, someone can help me? also multiclass is accepted :)
FEADIN1 01-27-06, 06:46 AM	Natural spell is very good if you want to cast while shapechanged, try to find a form with no more hd than you, like a bear to grapple or a lion (dire) to pounce, augment your ac with barkskin because animals have low one. You can go the way of the summoner, Spell focus Conjuration and Augment summoning, each time you summon animals they have +4 strength and constitution. Fast wildshape would be good to change as a move action.
Pliskit 01-27-06, 07:08 AM	The best thing to do to wreck your druid character is multiclass. Take the druid all the way to 20 if you want to make good use of the class possibilities. For choice of feats, companions and wild shape forms, take a look at the Druids handbook (link in my sig.) Itemwise you should check the Dragonhide plate in the DMG (220) and make it Wild (DMG219) For a total price of 19,300 (3,300 for the armor, +1 to make it enchantable, +3 to make it wild for total of +4=16,000) you now have a full plate that can be worn as a druid AND changes with you when you wildshape, thus still giving you the +9AC. Other items like a periapt of wisdom, bag of holding etc are optional, but this armor is a must :)
