| Shedeo11-14-05, 09:04 PM | As the name implies,... Comments greatly appreciated. Okay, the class' name is Honorbound. I've got my own particular campaign setting, and although some of the abilities are taken right off of the monk, for me I dont have a problem with it because, well,... In the campaign setting I created, Monks are rare, second only to spellcasters. Basically 80% of all monks are cloistered to their particular monestaries, and dont go out much. As for the Honorbound, they're kind of my attempt at finding the similarities between the stereotypical Knight and the same for the Samurai. Also, I dont like the samurai classes that have been given yet, neither in Oriental Adventures nor in Complete Warrior, so this helped out a lot. Psuedo Prerequisites- Only Lawful alignment. Must take a Clan Alliegance feat at first level (campaign-setting specific) if starting as this class, or have a clan alliegance feat before multiclassing into this class. Must abide by a certain moral code, never deviating from it. (Chivalry or Bushido are examples) BAB: Good (as fighter) Skills: 2+Int mod HD: d8 Saves: All High Arms and Armor Profs: Proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with one exotic weapon of the player's choice. Proficient with light and medium armor, and with shields (but not tower shields). 1) Unarmed Strike, Fast Movement +10 2) Weapon Focus 3) - 4) Uncanny Dodge 5) - 6) Evasion 7) - 8) Leap of the Clouds, Clan Alliegance 9) - 10) Remain Conscious 11) - 12) Movement +10 13) Improved Uncanny Dodge 14) - 15) - 16) - 17) Diamond Soul 18) - 19) - 20) Storm Strike Unarmed Strike- At first level, the Honorbound is treated as if having the Improved Unarmed Strike feat. Movement +10- At first and twelfth (crazy looking word) levels, the Honorbound's base movement is increased by 10 feet. Uncanny Dodge- At fourth level, an Honorbound retains her dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. Evasion- At sixth level, an Honorbound gains evasion. She can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful reflex save against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can only be used if the Honorbound is wearing light or no armor. Leap of the Clouds- At eigth level, the Honorbound's jump distance is no longer limited by her height. Remain Conscious- At tenth level, when an Honorbound's hit points are reduced to 0, she may take one partial action on her turn every round until she reaches -10 hit points, or until her hit point total returns to 0 or higher. If stabalized, she can continue to take partial actions, but the first partial action she takes revokes the stabilization. If you reach -10 hit points, she dies. Improved Uncanny Dodge- An Honorbound of thirteenth level or higher can no longer be flanked unless her assailant has rogue levels four higher than the Honorbound does class levels. Diamond Soul- At seventeenth level, the Honorbound gains spell resistance equal to 10+her class levels. Storm Strike- At twentieth level, an honorbound may double the number of attacks available to her 1/day. She gains a second attack at each of her base attack bonuses at the expense of accuracy, taking a -2 to all attack rolls that round. Alright, that's it. This class could be treated as I do, essentially a prestige base class, pretty much like the paladin. I'm not quite sure if its balanced or not, but I was thinking about giving them Ki Frenzy usable 1/day at levels 10, 15, and 20. Also, I thought that the automatic weapon proficiencies were a little eh, but I'm not sure. Thoughts? |
