| Epyon9401-20-07, 06:37 PM | I'm currently designing a campain, based around a coloseum/area fights. As a result of looking over the core classes I didn't think that any of them would really fit what I want in a gladiator class. So that's the basic background behind this class idea. I was origonally thinking about a Barbaian/Fighter hybrid class, but I'd be interested in the opinions that you have. Thanks in advance... |

Warblade would be my ideal choice for a gladiator class, but there are a lot of different ways it could be done, depending on the flavor you want to go for. Pretty much any melee character with the right build could be a viable arena fighter. Invisible Blade and Reaping Mauler (CW) were originally printed as gladiator classes. A swordsage would be a decent option for an exotic gladiator, and I was working on a fighter/ranger/barbarian exotic weapon master build at one point for an arena campaign that never got off the ground. The long and short of it is, decide what fighting style you want to pursue with your gladiator character, and tailor your build to that style. Be creative, and have fun! |
