I wouldn't actually say bladesinger gives you that much that you don't already have. Nor does a spellsword or eldritch knight - duskblades are pretty good on their own

I think something more along the lines of a green star adept would be more helpful

The Duskblade does everything the Bladesinger does, only better. (Er, right, frasmage already said that.)

Duskblade is a fairly good class 1 to 20; I've been tempted to mix it into the Jade Phoenix Mage from the Tome of Battle, but I don't think they'd mix very well the more i look at it.

Easy build, Duskblade 15, Swashbuckler 3, Champion of Correllon 2 with an elven thinblade.

Duskblade ye find in PH 2, Swashbuckler from Complete Warrior, and the Champion of Correllon from Races of the Wild.

I'll give ya a clue of what ye get, dex + int + str on damage on stuff that can be sneaked. =) yummy :D

I actually play a duskblade at the moment. I went from duskblade 5 to a warriorblade? (from tome of battle...I think thats what its called) for one level, then I switched on over to jade pheonix mage, and after that I'm going back to duskblade. Its a great way to combine a lot of force. With the powetr of a warblades strike manuevers with the spells of a duskblade and the power of a pheonix mage. I meann dammnnnn

I've considered that, but I don't like the slow spell progression of the Duskblade combined with the spent-spell-level based abilities of the JMP. I want 5th level spells at 9th or 10th level, not 16th. :)

Throwing in 2 levels of arcane archer for imbue arrow could be fun. Give you a decent ranged threat the typically melee based duskblades.

Duskblade 13 / Bard 1 / Sumblime Cord 6 is pretty nice, because it expands your spell list dramatically, and enables you to gain some gems like wraithstrike, without completely crippling your BAB.

I don't really have any good suggestions beyond what's already been offerred... for the most part because most prestige classes don't synergize well with noncore material, as they're almost always designed with core material in mind. Among the few exceptions are PrCs when the base class is in the respective book.

As a side note, I was actually going to write up a series of Prestige classes geared for the Duskblade (Darkscythe, Whip Thrall, Phase Blade, Element Blade, and Spellknife Adept), but I never got around to finishing it (lack of interest from people at the time, got distracted by other work)

I might get around to it at some point again if there's any interest in expansions for the Duskblade (You can see several variants in the link in my sig), possibly after I'm done with the Rebalanced Paladin.

I love gishes, and the Duskblade finally seems to do the concept justice in a base class :)
